District hospitals with 100 - 199 beds<br />
The average cost per PDE in this category was R980. Of the 32 districts with hospitals in this category,<br />
27 were clustered between R800 and R1 200 per PDE with five districts above R1 200 and two below<br />
R800. Although there were some provinces such as North West and Eastern Cape with clustering<br />
around R1 100 and R800 respectively, for the most part there was wide intra- and inter-provincial<br />
variability.<br />
