Handling guidelines<br />

Single- to double-coat application with 100 - 150<br />

g/m² on suitable primers, max. total moist<br />

Special advice<br />

.<br />

If used as flame retardant coating material for<br />

seagoing vessels according to SOLAS 74/88,<br />

Reg. II-2/3, II-2/5 and II-2/6, latest version, IMO<br />

Resolution MSC.36(63)-(1994 HSC-Code) 7,<br />

IMO Resolution MSC.97(73)-(2000 HSC-Code)<br />

7, this product can only be combined with other<br />

approved and technically suitable products.<br />

Use of product possible on bleached surfaces in<br />

combination with suitable <strong>PUR</strong> primers with<br />

<strong>DU</strong> <strong>429</strong>-1.<br />

Pre-priming is possible e.g. with the following<br />

products, according to the desired surface and<br />

the respective substrate material:<br />

DG 572-1, DG 417, DG 468-3, DG 434, DG<br />

416.<br />

General guidelines for handling<br />

.<br />

Of <strong>PUR</strong> materials:<br />

<strong>PUR</strong>-<strong>lacquer</strong>s should not be dried and<br />

processed at room temperature below 18°C and<br />

40% relative air humidity.Ideal values are 20 -<br />

25°C, 50 - 65% relative air humidity.Variations<br />

lead to drying and curing problems. To avoid<br />

faulty bonding, please pre-sand <strong>PUR</strong>-<strong>lacquer</strong><br />

surfaces immediately before applying <strong>lacquer</strong><br />

and apply the top coat to the sanded surfaces<br />

as soon as possible. The final hardness of the<br />

finish is attained - with proper storage (at least<br />

20°C room temperature) - after one week.<br />
