Indexing Terms Report
The following contains the indexing terms report for the USC Shoah Foundation Collection,
Michigan State University Digital Multimedia Center.
The indexing terms report is a print-out of the indexing terms associated with each testimony. It can
be used as a guide and research tool for library patrons, researchers, educators and students who are
interested in learning more about the testimonies in this visual history collection.
The USC Shoah Foundation Institute’s staff viewed each testimony from beginning to end,
assigning indexing terms as appropriate to segments within the testimonies. (In most cases, the
segments are one minute in length.) The indexing terms refer to geographical locations; to personal
experiences during the prewar, wartime, or postwar period; or to people mentioned during the
testimony. Viewers can thus reference the indexing terms report to see what people, places, and
experiences an interviewee discusses during the course of his or her testimony.
