The Bachelor of Arts gives you the greatest
flexibility and versatility as you master one or
two majors and minors (specialisations) from
civilisation’s most diverse and world relevant
study areas.
Perhaps you’re inspired by history as a tool to
reframe the present, want to understand human
behaviour and diverse cultures, or you’re
seeking a future where your skills and insight
across a broad spectrum of knowledges will be
satisfying and successful.
You create your own distinct program from over
35 challenging and exciting fields including
options outside the Faculty such as economics
and psychology. Along with lectures, tutorials
and seminars with acclaimed and award winning
academics and educators, you can collaborate
with the brightest and most talented minds in
fieldwork, projects, debates and research.

City of Salisbury’s Department of Strategic Urban Planning was
a highlight of the degree and gave me valuable industry experience.
As an intern I participated in meetings, departmental
discussions, and wrote a cycling discussion paper for the City’s
Transport Action Plan which was both challenging and exciting!”

Bachelor of Arts
The Bachelor of Arts degree plan is shown in the table below. Your
degree offers a flexible mix of many diverse study areas. It is made
up of at least two specialisations - one major (orange) and one
minor (dark blue) – which you’ll study each year and build expertise
and skills in. In the remaining areas (light blue) you can focus on
another minor, or choose to explore many different fields.
Adelaide Approved
Adelaide Approved provides a fixed entry score set in advance,
which gives you a clearer picture of the range of options that
you have. For the Bachelor of Arts this score is 70. You no longer
need to worry about changing cut off scores that reflect supply
and demand as the Adelaide Approved Score is simple and
straightforward: just meet program prerequisites, achieve the
required TER (including all bonus points) and you’re in!
Double Degree
You can study a Bachelor of Arts with another degree such as
Law, Commerce, Sciences, Economics, Music Studies, Social
Sciences, Development Studies, Media, International Studies or
Environmental Policy and Management, and graduate in both
programs after 4 years of study (5.5 years with Law). Other
double degree choices are available.

Europe, Asia and the US. And yes, it counts
towards your Bachelor of Arts degree.
Careers
A great thing about an arts degree is that it opens your eyes to a
world of possibilities and career paths. You will develop key skills
and capabilities whilst gaining exposure to diverse fields and
understanding a range of perspectives.
Graduates work in areas that include the arts, community
engagement, advertising, PR, business, communications,
broadcasting, curatorial, education, government, marketing,
politics, media, journalism, outreach, academia, policy
development, foreign affairs, publishing, research, writing and
