Getting to know the team...<br />

Julia’s thoughts: “They are all secondment<br />

appointments who are currently working within<br />

<strong>Hyde</strong>, and share my passion for making a difference<br />

to residents’ lives and providing them with more<br />

influence. I am delighted and excited at the prospect<br />

of working with them to develop the <strong>Resident</strong><br />

<strong>Engagement</strong> Strategy."<br />

Julia Johnson was introduced as the Head of <strong>Resident</strong> <strong>Engagement</strong> in<br />

the inaugural issue of <strong>Hyde</strong>life earlier in the year; she has now recruited<br />

an interim commissioning team from within <strong>Hyde</strong> to help develop a new<br />

<strong>Resident</strong> <strong>Engagement</strong> Strategy for The <strong>Hyde</strong> Group.<br />

Laurie McGarva<br />

Project Manager<br />

“Working as part of<br />

the Corporate <strong>Resident</strong><br />

<strong>Engagement</strong> <strong>Team</strong> will<br />

be a new challenge.<br />

I want residents to play an active role in<br />

shaping service delivery so they have a<br />

first class service experience at <strong>Hyde</strong>, and<br />

the skills to monitor <strong>Hyde</strong>’s performance”.<br />

Laurie joined <strong>Hyde</strong> last November as the<br />

<strong>Resident</strong> Involvement Officer in Islington<br />

and is much loved for her enthusiastic<br />

approach for involving residents in<br />

local activities.<br />

Becky has worked at <strong>Hyde</strong> for nine years.<br />

She has worked in housing management<br />

roles and as <strong>Resident</strong> Involvement<br />

Co-ordinator in Hampshire and<br />

West Surrey.<br />

and ensure residents have real influence<br />

over the services they receive now and in<br />

Susie has been at <strong>Hyde</strong> for just over a<br />

year and has worked on the internal<br />

inspection programme to recruit a team<br />

of residents and staff to test services<br />

standards against the <strong>Hyde</strong> Service<br />

Promise. Susie will work directly to Julia.<br />

“I am greatly looking<br />

forward to developing<br />

an effective resident<br />

engagement team that works<br />

well with the local resident involvement<br />

staff as we deliver an excellent customer<br />

service to our residents”. Gill will work<br />

directly to Julia.<br />

Gill joined <strong>Hyde</strong> eight years ago in a<br />

housing management role and for the last<br />

three years has led a team of nine resident<br />

involvement staff working across South<br />

East London and Kent.<br />

my wide-ranging<br />

knowledge of the<br />

organisation and<br />

experience in communications<br />

to ensure residents really are at the heart<br />

of everything we do”.<br />

Sarah has been an important member<br />

of <strong>Hyde</strong>’s External Communications<br />

team for just over a year. She has been<br />

involved in numerous projects whilst at<br />

<strong>Hyde</strong> including the transformation of<br />

the residents’ website.<br />

Our vision is to put residents at the heart of everything we do;<br />

we want to ensure that their expectations are met and that<br />

the residents’ experience of <strong>Hyde</strong> is continuously improved.<br />
