Destratification Fan
Ceiling Mounted Heat Recovery Units
With Hydor Destratification fans installed in the
ceiling space, the accumulated warm
air is redistributed down towards the
floor level and re-circulated around the building
to sustain even temperatures and
reduce run time of heaters.
Heat rises within buildings from floor level and collects in the
ceiling void, even in well ventilated buildings the difference in
temperature levels can be as much as 5°C or more.
(See diagram below)
Heaters are required to operate more frequently in this
situation to restore temperatures at floor height to
acceptable levels for the staff. This results in higher fuel costs
and wasted energy.
The redistribution of warm air creates a more even
temperature around the unit and allows floor temperature
to be sustained for longer periods without prolonged and
frequent use of heaters, thereby reducing energy expenditure
significantly.
Tests have also proven that the fans aid maintenance of a
constant temperature at floor level, when compared to a unit
reliant solely on heaters, recordings showed considerable
fluctuations in temperature.
Hydor Ceiling Mounted Destratification Units are suitable
for any building where, due to their design, heat is gathered
in the ceiling area. Warehouses, factories, storage units,
garden centres or any enclosed area where heaters are used
to obtain a comfortable working environment for the public
and staff alike.
