<strong>for</strong> <strong>use</strong> <strong>with</strong> ISO/TS 16949:2009<br />

1 Purpose of the document<br />
The purpose of this document is to describe the requirements to be complied <strong>with</strong> by the organizations which deliver<br />
products (hereinafter referred to as "supplier") to the <strong>PSA</strong> <strong>Peugeot</strong> Citroën Group (hereinafter referred to as "<strong>PSA</strong>").<br />
2 <strong>PSA</strong> <strong>Customer</strong>-<strong>Specific</strong> <strong>Requirements</strong><br />
The supplier certification according to the ISO/TS 16949:2009 standard is a prerequisite <strong>for</strong> any business relationship <strong>with</strong><br />
<strong>PSA</strong>.<br />
The <strong>Customer</strong>-<strong>Specific</strong> <strong>Requirements</strong> of <strong>PSA</strong> are described in a manual called « Suppliers Relation Management ». This<br />
manual<br />
- supplements the ISO/TS 16949:2009 requirements so as to permit suppliers to adapt themselves to <strong>PSA</strong> working<br />
methods and<br />
- describes the <strong>PSA</strong> requirements and the operating modes to be applied between <strong>PSA</strong> and its suppliers throughout the<br />
whole <strong>PSA</strong>/supplier relationships (1) .<br />
The up to date « Suppliers Relation Management » manual is available through the <strong>PSA</strong> B2B portal:<br />

Registration is necessary to get full access to the portal. On the first visit to the portal, it is possible to initiate the<br />
registration process.<br />
1] a guide <strong>for</strong> comparing the « Suppliers Relation Management » manual <strong>with</strong> the ISO/TS 16949:2009 standard has been written by<br />
<strong>PSA</strong>. This guide is available in the <strong>PSA</strong> B2B portal<br />

3 <strong>Requirements</strong> to be met by a supply purchased by <strong>PSA</strong><br />
When a supplier is chosen by <strong>PSA</strong>, a supply agreement is signed between <strong>PSA</strong> and the supplier. This document is<br />
based on predefined cla<strong>use</strong>s, is contractually binding and officially defines:<br />
- the <strong>PSA</strong> needs and requirements related to the supply concerned,<br />
- the commitments made by the supplier to meet the <strong>PSA</strong> needs and requirements.<br />
This agreement specifies the rights and duties of both <strong>PSA</strong> and supplier.<br />
4 Quality follow-up<br />
<strong>PSA</strong> monitors the per<strong>for</strong>mance of its suppliers as required by the paragraph "7.4.3.2 Supplier monitoring" of the ISO/TS<br />
16949:2009 standard.<br />
The monitoring is made through the following indicators:<br />
- scorecards <strong>with</strong> a monthly updating (quality in development (0-km quality, ppm, critical incidents), quality in the customer<br />
field (ppm, warranty costs), audits results, spare parts),<br />
- quality per<strong>for</strong>mance sheets <strong>with</strong> updating every six months <strong>for</strong> in<strong>for</strong>mation of the <strong>PSA</strong> and suppliers upper management.<br />
The monitoring indicators are made available to each supplier through the "supplier's cockpit" in the <strong>PSA</strong> B2B portal.<br />
5 Tools<br />
<strong>Specific</strong> EDI tools are <strong>use</strong>d by <strong>PSA</strong> and its suppliers to exchange data. These tools are accessed through the <strong>PSA</strong> B2B<br />
portal:<br />
- <strong>for</strong> the design and development phase: Foqu@lis which supports the Suppliers Quality Assurance methodologies,<br />
- <strong>for</strong> the mass production phase: Amadeus which monitors the quality level at zero km and<br />
- <strong>for</strong> the customer field: Madig wich assesses the customer field quality and the warranty costs per<strong>for</strong>mance.<br />
6 Surveillance of suppliers and countermeasures in case of problem<br />
<strong>PSA</strong> sets in place a surveillance system of its suppliers and has defined countermeasures to be activated in case of<br />
problem. The surveillance system includes:<br />
- audits conducted all along the purchasing process ("Request For Quotation" phase, Development phase and Mass<br />
production),<br />
- an escalation process which includes countermeasures adapted to the per<strong>for</strong>mance of the supplier according to a<br />
staged process which can lead to sanctions applied against the supplier (including the possibility of sending a complaint<br />
to the Certification Body (CB) <strong>for</strong> starting the decertification process (paragraph 8 of the Rules <strong>for</strong> achieving IATF<br />
recognition 3rd Edition <strong>for</strong> ISO/TS 16949:2002 dates 1st of October 2008 as modified by the Sanctioned Interpretations<br />
(SI) of IATF).<br />
7 Certification to ISO/TS 16949:2009<br />
For a <strong>PSA</strong> supplier, the scope of third party certification to ISO/TS 16949:2009 must include the verification that the<br />
supplier:<br />
- is aware of the <strong>PSA</strong> <strong>Customer</strong>-<strong>Specific</strong> <strong>Requirements</strong>,<br />
- knows how to access the <strong>PSA</strong> B2B portal,<br />
- follows up the quality of its supplies in a way consistent <strong>with</strong> the <strong>PSA</strong> indicators.<br />
