Abstract. The higher learning school basketball education as our country higher sports education

important component, in basketball education on the implementation of lifelong physical education

plays a key role in the basketball teaching, taken in the course of scientific physical education

means and methods, to guide the school basketball sports education to lifelong sports development,

and for students to lay a good foundation for the body. This paper first on College Physical Education

under the lifelong physical education are summarized, and the present development situation

analysis, finally from the school basketball sports teachers education and the two aspects of higher

learning school basketball teaching in the lifelong physical education.

Introduction

As is known to all, the basketball teaching of the higher learning schools has become one of the most

important parts of the higher physical education in the modern times. For this reason, it plays a key

role in the realization of the lifelong physical education at the present time.

The days in a higher learning school are a highly important transition period for the students to

step into society. In the basketball teaching, the higher learning schools create the high-quality practice

environment for the students to make the life-long physical education realized. Therefore, the

basketball teaching in a higher learning school is actually a very important foundation for carrying

out the lifelong physical education.

More importantly, at the present time, it is highly necessary for the higher learning schools to seriously

consider and study how to depend on the basketball teaching of the higher learning schools to

make the training of the awareness and ability of the students in life-long physical education realized

and also promote the students to change into the qualified talents that are demanded by the society of

the modern times.

Overview on the Life-long Physical Education of Higher Learning Schools Basketball Teaching

Generally speaking, life-long physical education means that a person can always possess the awareness

of receiving the physical education and conducting the physical exercises in his whole life time

and regards the physical education as one of the indispensable elements in his own life at the same

time.

Basketball teaching of the higher learning schools adheres to the idea of "health first" all the time.

Just under the guidance of such a basketball teaching idea, the healthy development of the students

can be achieved in an all-round way. However, with the purpose of realizing the life-long physical

education by the basketball teaching of the higher learning schools, it is definitely necessary to make

the integration of both life and physical education realized.

More specifically, in the basketball teaching of the higher learning schools, it is very necessary to

make the creation of the life contexts realized in the teaching process based on persevering in the

characteristics of the basketball teaching.

As a result, the basketball teaching model can get closer and closer to the real life, and simultaneously

can ensure the students to build up the life-long physical education awareness, which is

"physical education is to make a better life achieved".

Current Situation of Life-long Physical Education in Higher Learning Schools Basketball

Teaching

Teaching Characteristics of Higher Learning Schools Basketball Sport. Specifically speaking,

the three aspects in the following can give expression to the teaching characteristics of the basketball

sport of the higher learning schools at the present time.

Multi-compensation and Multi-choice. In the current basketball teaching of the higher learning

schools, the teaching contents, the teaching forms and the selection of the teaching methods as well

as the disposition of the teaching facilities can give a full reflection to the multi-compensation characteristic.

In the mean time, the basketball teaching of the higher learning schools provide the students with

more choices. For this reason, the students at the higher learning schools can make a choice with

great freedom on the sports that are appropriate for their personal development as well as the sports

that they like very much in the learning process.

Pleasant Physical and Mental States. In the preparation of the teaching contents of the physical

education, it is very necessary for the higher learning schools to give full consideration to the psychological

and physiological characteristics of the students, and therefore select the basketball

teaching forms that the students are willing to participate in, and ensure the students to attain a pleasure

of both physical and physiological aspects in the process of the basketball teaching at the same

time.

As a result, the effect of the learning of the students can receive an improvement, the healthy physiques

of the students can be trained, and the great fatigue of the students in both physiology and

psychology can be eliminated.

Combining with Professional Work. In the higher learning schools, actually, the settings of all

disciplines should get closer and closer to the teaching of the professional disciplines as much as

possible.

Generally speaking, the different majors in the higher learning schools put forward the different

requirements on the skills as well as the physical qualities of the students. For this reason, it is highly

necessary for the higher learning schools to educate the students some physical exercise methods,

which are matched with the learning of the majors.

Problems and Deficiencies of Higher Learning Schools Basketball Teaching in Life-long

Physical Education. From the perspective of the basketball teaching of the higher learning schools,

it can be clearly known that there are still a certain number of problems in the life-long physical

education for the students. There are three aspects that can give detailed expression to these problems.

First, some higher learning schools still hold an uncertain attitude towards the teaching plan and

idea of the basketball education.

Secondly, at the present time, the basketball sport workers in a large number of the higher learning

schools were sourced from the basketball teachers of the middle vocational schools of the previous

time. Therefore, some of these teachers are absent of the ability to adapt to the characteristics

of the basketball teaching of the higher learning schools very well.

Third, some higher learning schools are in shortage of the basketball facilities as well as teaching

fields. For this reason, these higher learning schools cannot make the diversification of the basketball

teaching contents realized.

Training of Life-long Physical Education in Higher Learning Schools Basketball Teaching

From the Perspective of Higher Learning Schools Basketball Teaching. With the purpose of

training the life-long physical education in the basketball teaching of the higher learning schools, it

is necessary to pay attention to the exertion of the roles of schools first.

Next, it is necessary to attach importance to the training of the ability of the students in the lifelong

physical education. In the mean time, it is necessary to train the students to develop the ability

in the independent exercise and self-evaluation.

At last but the not least, the basketball teaching of the higher learning schools is the last station for

the students to carry out the learning of the physical education during the period of schools. At the

same time, it is the highest level of the basketball education for the students, and therefore exerts a

role of "bridge" carrying on the past and connecting the future.

Updating Basketball Education. It is highly necessary for the higher learning schools to build

up the awareness in the life-long physical education, and make every effort to updating the new

knowledge and establishing the structure of the new knowledge as well as the structure of abilities.

At the same time, it is highly necessary for the higher learning schools to transform to attach

higher importance to the impartation of the modern physical educational theories and methods from

laying a stress on the teaching of the traditional sports techniques and skills, and change to the "intelligence-oriented"

teaching from the "techniques-oriented" teaching.

In addition, it is highly necessary for the physical education of the higher learning schools at the

premise of the life-long physical education make the basketball teaching, sports games and extracurricular

activities unified and coordinated.

Overcoming the Idea of "Emphasizing Intelligence and Thinking Lightly Of Physical Education".

It is highly necessary for the higher learning schools to overcome the idea of "emphasizing

intelligence and thinking lightly of physical education".

More specifically, the higher learning schools can’t pursue the effect of the cultural learning as

well as the rate of the student enrollment unilaterally, and hence give a cold shoulder to the class

hours and facilities guarantee of the physical education.

Establishing an Appropriate Evaluation Mechanism. It is highly necessary for the higher

learning schools to establish an appropriate evaluation mechanism. Thus, a change can be made to

the previous mechanism taking the points of an examination as the evaluation standards.

More specifically, the higher learning schools can require the students to carry out the physical

education for an hour every day and persevere in doing so all the time in accordance with the requirements

of the teaching plan.

From the Perspective of Teachers in Higher Learning Schools Basketball Teaching.

Changing Ideas and the Teaching Model Attaching Higher Importance to the Short-term

Benefits but Neglecting the Long-term Benefits. It is highly necessary for the higher learning

schools to change the existing ideas and teaching model, which attaches higher importance to the

short-term benefits but neglects the long-term benefits.

Therefore, it is necessary for the teachers in the basketball education of the higher learning

schools to possess the teaching idea of the new period.

More specifically, such an idea will be always based on the development of the students as well as

the development of both society and economy, will always be oriented at implementing the exploration

on the realization of the potential abilities of both and mind of students in an in-depth, and will

always adhere to carrying on initiative and subject role of the students.

In the mean time, it is necessary for the idea to place the teaching objectives on the realization of

the long-term benefits but not on the realization of the short-term benefits, and put the habits, interests

and hobbies of the students to carry out the physical education in the first position, and ultimately

lay a solid foundation on the realization of the life-long physical education of the students in the

future.

Attaching High Importance to the Training of the Interests of the Students in Physical

Education. It is highly necessary for the higher learning schools to attach high importance to the

training of the interests of the students in physical education.

First, it is necessary to make the training of the habits and interests of students in physical exercises

realized. With the purpose of ensuring the students to keep the initiative to persist in doing the

physical exercises, the most important way is allowing the students to develop a very good habit and

interest in doing the physical exercises. This is also the most important reason for a large number of

people to persist in the life-long physical education in the modern times.

Thus, in the process of organizing the physical education activities and giving guidance to the

students, it is highly necessary for the teachers in the basketball teaching of the higher learning

schools to have the awareness of exploring the internal interests of the students in the sports activities.

Simultaneously, in the process of organizing, demonstrating and explaining the sports activities, it

is highly necessary for the teachers to make the attention of the students concentrated, and fully mobilize

the enthusiasm of the students in doing the physical exercises.

As a result, the teachers in the basketball teaching of the higher learning schools can ensure the

students to show the ability in athletics in the process of carrying out the sports activities and also to

get recognition on the actual effect of the physical exercises on the training of their own physical

qualities. Subsequently, the enthusiasm of the students in the physical education can be stimulated,

and they can develop a habit of the lifelong physical education at the same time.

In addition, physical exercises need a training process in the long run and require the students to

be regular, intellectual and scientific in building up the physical qualities. As a result, the students

can develop a habit of the lifelong physical education in the future.

Therefore, it is highly necessary for the teachers in the basketball teaching of the higher learning

schools to change the current situation attaching higher importance to the practices of the physical

qualities but neglecting the teaching of the sport techniques in the teaching process at the present

time, and hence make an enhancement to the diversification and enjoyment of the teaching models of

physical education. This is also one of the most important means to improve the interests of the students

in the physical exercises, and promotes the students to be positive, independent and spontaneous

in carrying out the physical exercises.

Attaching Importance to the Training of the Ability in Life-long Physical Education. The

key to making the training of the students’ ability in the life-long physical education lies in ensuring

the life-long physical education to be capable of realizing the expected goals based on the command

of a certain number of sport techniques and skills.

The life-long physical education will be of little real significance if the teachers do not attach

higher importance to imparting the sport techniques and skills to the students in the basketball teaching

of the higher learning schools. It is far from being enough to only train the students to develop

the interests in the physical exercises.

This life-long physical education will stay in the sports sense and concept if the teaching does not

make the command of the sport techniques and skills of the students realized.

Therefore, in the physical education course of the higher learning schools, it is highly necessary

for the students to know well the techniques and skills of the sports that they are interested in and

that are appropriate for their own exercises.

Hence, a solid foundation can be laid for the realization of the life-long physical education when

the students step into society. Just as the famous Chinese saying goes, it is better to teach fishing than

to offer fish.

Conclusion

From the above analysis, it can be clearly learnt that the basketball teaching of the higher learning

schools is of important significance for the life-long physical education.

Thus, it is necessary for the teachers to update the ideas and make an improvement to the structure

of the knowledge and skills in the physical education without a step, and firmly build up the idea of

the life-long physical education to meet the new requirements of the physical education reform on

the teachers in physical education.

In the basketball teaching, it is also necessary to actively play the leading role of the students, establish

a "people-oriented" education policy, train the students to develop the ability to learn and

practice independently, and carry out the happy physical education vigorously.

As a result, the interests of the students in the physical education can attain an enhancement, and

ultimately a good foundation can be laid for the students to develop the awareness and habit of the

life-long physical education.
