Hollywood Cinema Production Resources

Training Program provides industry-specific

training in trade skills to youth and young adults

in what is expected of an entry-level person in

the crafts and technicians areas of film and

television.

Hollywood CPR’s training program provides

qualified students a unique opportunity to learn

these specialized craft and trade skills from the

industry professionals who are masters in their

trade.

The classes offered cover a broad spectrum of

the entertainment industry’s art department and

stage crafts needs, focusing on the most

important and common skill applications

expected of an entry-level worker.

Hollywood CPR’s training program also

incorporates broad-based life skills coaching,

and support that focus’ on the myriad of social

skills necessary for success in gaining and

keeping employment.

Students can earn high school and college credit

(through a collaboration with West Los

Angeles College).

Hollywood CPR encourages and supports

students working while attending classes, and

credit is earned for working (if in field of

training). Successful graduates of

Hollywood CPR’s program can qualify as

IATSE union permits.

REQUIREMENTS

You must be at least 18 years of age (17 &

senior in high school okay) and not more

than 25 years of age, have a valid California

Drivers License or valid California ID, and a

valid Social Security Card. The training

program is free to those who qualify.

We are looking for candidates who are

passionate about learning and working in

one of the trades within the art department

and other crafts of the film and television

industry. Most of the jobs are physically

demanding, so make sure you are up to the

challenge!

Application process: 1) You must pick

up an application in person at Hollywood

CPR’s main facility at 9700 S. Sepulveda

Blvd. enter on 98 th St. 2) Complete

application and return by the deadline with

all attachments 3) If your application

meets the criteria, an interview will be

scheduled with Hollywood CPR, and then

you will be notified if accepted into the

program.

Priority for acceptance into our program

(80%) is reserved for youth who come from

historically under-represented, economically

disadvantaged areas of Los Angeles, and

who demonstrate passion and commitment

to the crafts of the entertainment industry.

Hollywood CPR is located at 9700 S. Sepulveda

Blvd.; corner of 98th & Sepulveda. One block

north of Century Blvd. at LAX. However you

must ENTER ON 98th St.

Hollywood Cinema Production

Resources was founded in 1997 by

Kevin Considine to provide opportunities

for under-represented young adults to

learn a marketable skill, and to give

young people an opportunity to learn in

an environment that is creative, and

teaches through hands-on methods, with

industry professionals who are experts in

their field.

Hollywood CPR’s programs are located in

a real working shop and prop house

giving participants the value of learning

in a supportive environment, as well as

the important opportunity of building

relationships with many industry

professionals.
