Henderson Global Investors is a leading multi-asset investment company managing €69bn worldwide. In global property it

has over 40 years’ experience and manages €13bn of assets on behalf of segregated direct mandates, pooled funds, property

securities and fund of funds clients. Ms. Breheny has over 13 years experience in property research. As Head of Research at

Henderson she manages a team of five analysts focused on Europe. She is also a member of the Investment Property Forum,

the Society of Property Researchers, INREV and the International Council of Shopping Centres. Ms. Breheny gained a BA (Hons)

diploma in geography at the University of Southampton, England, and has been in property analysis since 1995.

Sonae Sierra is an international shopping centre specialist, operating in Portugal, Spain, Italy, Germany, Greece, Romania, Brazil

and Colombia. It has over 2.2m sq.m. GLA under management with over 8.900 tenants, attracting in 2009 more than 436m visits.

Sr. Fernandes joined in 1997 as Project Manager of NorteShopping, subsequently becoming the centre’s General Manager. In

2000, he was appointed Asset Manager for Portugal. In 2002 he added Greece and Romania to his portfolio. Since 2008, when

he took up his present responsibilities, he has overseen all Sonae Sierra’s real estate investments in Portugal and Spain. He holds

an MSc in Management from the University of Porto and an MBA from the Instituto Superior de Estudos Empresarias.


Vice-President, Mayland Real Estate, Warsaw

One of the largest retail real estate developers in central Europe, jointly owned by the French Casino group and Goldman

Sachs’ Whitehall funds, Mayland owns over 1m sq.m. gross leasable area and has a pipeline of projects out to 2015. M. Guen

has 20 years’ experience in in several big French and international real estate and retail companies, and earlier last decade

managed commercial and mixed-use projects for a major French developer. In Poland since 1999 in hypermarket development

with Geant Polska and King Cross, he joined Mayland in 2006. Together with management and shareholders of Mayland

Real Estate he participated in 2009 in a large asset sale, the largest retail transaction in Poland since 2007.


Director, Head of Shopping Centre Investment, CB Richard Ellis, London

CB Richard Ellis is one of the world’s largest real estate advisory and investment firms. In Europe it has 5,800 employees workng

in 133 offices in 41 countries, managing assets of $12.7bn - and has provided valuation and advisory on over 54,200 properties.

Mr. Welham heads the Shopping Centre Investment Group within the EMEA region, and focuses on strategic and propertyspecific

advice for cross-border investors. With 11 years’ experience of shopping centre investment and development he has

carried out investment or advisory in most European countries. Mr. Welham previously spent six years at Jones Lang LaSalle,

responsible for pan-European retail investment and before that worked as portfolio manager for Norwich Union France.
