HEAD COACH CAROL WEYMULLER<br />
Carol Weymuller enters her 10th season as the head<br />
coach of the <strong>Hobart</strong> squash program. Under her direction<br />
the Statesmen have been ranked in the top-20 in each of<br />
the past eight seasons. She has a career record of 94-90.<br />
Last season, Weymuller guided <strong>Hobart</strong> to the inaugural<br />
Liberty League Championship <strong>and</strong> a 15-9 overall record, the<br />
highest wins total in the program’s history. The Statesmen<br />
also earned their highest ever ranking, finishing second in<br />
the Hoehn Trophy <strong>and</strong> 10th overall at the College Squash<br />
Association team championships.<br />
In 1994, Weymuller <strong>and</strong> her husb<strong>and</strong>, Fred, received the<br />
U.S. Squash Racquets Association’s President’s Cup, the most prestigious award<br />
presented by the USSRA.<br />
Weymuller earned a bachelor’s degree in Spanish <strong>and</strong> elementary education from<br />
Bethany College in 1970. Upon graduation, she worked as a tennis <strong>and</strong> squash professional<br />
at the Heights Casino in Brooklyn, N.Y., from 1970 through 1980, followed by a<br />
stint at the Genesee Valley Club in Rochester, N.Y., from 1980 through 1993. From<br />
1993 through 1995, she was the squash professional at the University of Rochester<br />
Medical Center Athletic Club <strong>and</strong> the tennis professional at the Country Club of<br />
Rochester.<br />
An accomplished player as well, Weymuller was the No. 1 ranked player in New York<br />
City from 1976 through 1978. She served as captain of the U.S. Women’s Team in 1981<br />
<strong>and</strong> 1983 <strong>and</strong> won a record 11 consecutive Rochester Women’s Championships from<br />
1981 through 1991.<br />
