Details of <strong>Admission</strong> Procedure regarding Coaching Programme for UPSC- Main<br />
Examination-2010 at ACEC, YASHADA are as under:<br />
Who can Apply? (Eligibility):-<br />
• Candidates who have cleared the UPSC-Prelims-2010 and qualified for Main<br />
Exam.-2010<br />
• Candidate, domiciled of Maharashtra<br />
• EX-ACEC Candidates who have taken Coaching beforehand for UPSC-Main<br />
Examination from the Center in the previous Mains batches, WILL NOT BE<br />
ELIGIBLE for Re-admission.<br />
How to Apply? :-<br />
• Interested candidates may down load “Application Form” from the website<br />
(www.<strong>yashada</strong>.org/acec), take print on the white A4 size paper and send by speed<br />
post to:-<br />
“The Director, Dr. Ambedkar Competitive Examination Center (ACEC),<br />
YASHADA, Rajbhavan Complex, Baner Rd. Pune -7”<br />
<br />
Candidates who are residing in the remote places of Maharashtra or who cannot file<br />
the application physically or by Post at the Center in stipulated period they may<br />
send their applications by following mode:<br />
1. By Fax at our no. 020-25608100 ( YASHADA)<br />
2. E-mail<br />
3. By the hand of friend/ relatives<br />
Application format is available on our Website– (www.<strong>yashada</strong>.org/acec) under<br />
heading “Coaching Programme for UPSC -Main Exam.2010”<br />

• Candidates should mention all details in the Application form and send along with<br />
following documents, if failed, application will be rejected.<br />
1. Certificates of Educational Qualification<br />
2. School leaving Certificate or Certificate of Date of Birth-<br />
3. Caste Certificate, Caste validation Certificate<br />
4. Domicile Certificate<br />
5. Photocopy of Hall Ticket (Preliminary Examination, 2010)<br />
6. Two recent Photographs (Passport size)<br />
• Duly filled applications should reach in the Center during office hours within<br />
Five days ( Last date is - 26/8/2010) after result of Prelims Exam.-2010 .<br />
<strong>Admission</strong> Procedure:-<br />
Nature of batch will be as below:<br />
Residential Govt. sponsored Batch:-<br />
• Currently, 50 students are undergoing coaching in the Center. Vacancy will be<br />
filled-up by the outside qualified candidates. Especially, SC, ST, SBC,<br />
VJNT(ABCD) candidates will be given preference for the admissions in the batch.<br />
• Information regarding category wise vacancies will be displaced just after<br />
disclosure of the result -UPSC-Prelim Exam.-2010<br />
<br />
Govt. appointed Selection Committee for selecting Candidates for<br />
this Coaching:<br />
• <strong>Admission</strong>s will be made only after approval of Selection Committee appointed<br />
by Dept. of Social Justice and Special Assistance, Govt. of Maharashtra.<br />
DECISION OF “SELECTION COMMITTEE” WILL BE FINAL.<br />
Criteria for selecting Candidates for this Coaching:<br />
a) Ex- ACEC candidates who availed coaching beforehand from the Center for<br />
Preliminary Examination will be given preference, against concern vacancy<br />
in respective Category. (As per decision taken by Academic Committee in the meeting<br />
held on 20 th July 2010)<br />
b) Eligible candidates from the category-SC, ST, SBC, VJNT (ABCD),<br />
OBC, General, will be given admission, directly against vacant seats.<br />
C) If applications from eligible candidates received more than vacant<br />
seats in concern Category, then an “Entrance Test” will be conducted on urgent<br />
basis.( If required, an “Entrance Test” will be conducted for selecting<br />
the candidates.)<br />

Date of Entrance Test: - 28 th Aug. 2010, Time: -2 pm. to 5.00 p.m.<br />
Reporting Time: 1 pm<br />
Venue: - Class Room No. 5 & 11 YASHADA, Pune<br />
Nature of the exam.:-<br />
Only One G.S. Paper (Based on G.S paper- 1 & 2 )<br />
Marks-100<br />
on Main Exam. Pattern:- Descriptive<br />
Merit list will be prepared on the basis of the marks received in the<br />
Entrance test and admission will be given by approval of Govt.<br />
appointed Selection Committee.<br />
In case of Non- availability of the candidate against in concern category,<br />
admission will be given to candidates from categories, on the basis of<br />
merit list of Entrance test in following order: (Order:- SC, ST, SBC,<br />
VJNT(ABCD) , OBC and General)<br />

• Stipend of Rs. 2250/-, Per head, per month ( on the basis of attendance)<br />
• Library<br />
• Coaching & Tests.)<br />
• Counseling<br />
• Guidance from experts,<br />
• Study Material purchased from Delhi or other region etc.<br />
Course/Coaching Information-<br />
Coaching on subjects like G.S., Essay, Geography, History, Public Administration,<br />
Political Science will be provided as per the need of the candidates. Focus will be<br />
given on writing practice, tests, and its evaluation and counseling from experts.<br />
