The photos in this brand new Gaastra Magazine were taken 

during a trip along the Mediterranean coast in the offseason. 

This is quite a magical time to cruise around this 

area. You should really try it some time. It’s a lot quieter than 

usual, but all the famous features are there: the beautiful 

deep blue sea, the picturesque coastlines, the marinas full 

of luxurious yachts, the great restaurants and clubs… even 

the weather is pretty decent. 

The off-season presented excellent opportunities to highlight 

the various features of the Gaastra Fall/Winter 2012 

collections. The functional Sportswear items offer all you 

need to face the ever-changing temperatures and winds and 

the most luxurious Breton items are the perfect attire for 

a dinner in one of the prestigious restaurants or a night 

of serious club-hopping. For all the other moments, both 

collections offer several, beautiful, comfortable and stylish 

casual outfits. Gaastra Footwear, designed according to the 

Grip on any Deck philosophy, is suitable for any activity. 

It is this unique mix of functionality and fashion to which

Passion for sailing at the highest level is deeply embedded 

in the DNA of the Gaastra brand. In fact, it was the main 

reason for Douwe Gaastra to start a sail making company 

in the first place. Today Gaastra’s commitment is still clearly

Signature style 

Gaastra Sportswear Collection 

The Sportswear Collection, Gaastra’s casual and sporty 

signature collection, is divided into two themes: ROUGH 

SEAS and OFFSHORE WINDS. For the Rough Seas theme, 

the designers drew inspiration from the world of offshore 

sailing. It is dominated by black, navy and white designs, 

striking reflective applications and rubber embossed prints. 

The items are cool, casual and radiate pure adventure. 

Offshore Winds is a more colorful theme, characterized by 

large color blocking, stenciled graphics and a very elegant look
