WHAT IS A SAINT ?
Fr Paul Maloney OSA
St Gerard Majella once exclaimed to God:
“Alright then, I’ll BE a saint!”
In today’s world when so many people have been Beatified
or Canonised, what are the qualities we look for
in our saints, and do we consider we might possess
these qualities ourselves ? Spend the day in discovering
what it means to be a saint.
given to us personally to sustain us, empower us and
encourage us on our journey to God.
STORYTELLING –
SEARCHING, REFLECTING & FAITH
Br Paul Skippen OSA
A time to refresh, renew and energise one’s personal
journey .
Storytelling. Jesus did it. The Old Testament prophets
did it. Humans have been telling stories to each other
since the dawn of time. In those early days it was simply
a matter of sitting around a fire recounting the
day’s events. All that was required was a storyteller
and a listening ear. Our spirituality is in our own story.
This prayer day will offer the opportunity to enter into
spirit of storytelling and encourage the group to be
open to all the possibilities of God.
THE PARABLES OF JESUS Fr John McCall OSA
Jesus reveals Himself to us in the parables. These reflections
on Jesus’ parables invite us to constantly reshape
our own image of our loving God. An image we
began to develop in our childhood and one that needs
constantly to be deepened and corrected by God’s
word in the scriptures.
