Conditions of Entry<br />
(All riders competing at this event are expected to have read and accepted these conditions.)<br />
1. Horse, Owner and Rider all financial with the <strong>Equestrian</strong> <strong>Australia</strong>. <strong>NSW</strong> Riders must be<br />
financial with <strong>Jumping</strong> <strong>NSW</strong> Inc. (Interstate Competitors excluded)<br />
2. Entries lodged with the www.globalentriesonline.com.au by 9pm on Friday 2nd<br />
December, 2011.<br />
3. Payment by Credit Card through Global Entries Online. 20 minute immediate<br />
payment will apply.<br />
4. The following must be properly completed:-<br />
• Entries and stabling or day stay details.<br />
• Read and agree Conditions of entry including Disclaimer Statement and tick to<br />
confirm<br />
• Completed Commentary Form<br />
• Payment in full<br />
• Riders competing at this show must be financial members of <strong>Jumping</strong> <strong>NSW</strong> Inc.<br />
(This does not include Interstate Members), if not financial the membership form<br />
(attached) must be filled in and sent to the Treasurer of <strong>Jumping</strong> <strong>NSW</strong> before the<br />
start of the show.<br />
• All horses nominated must hold current registration and showjumping grading cards<br />
from EA.<br />
• Grading shall be in accordance with the National Grading System.<br />
• The <strong>Event</strong> will be run under FEI/EA rules.<br />
• <strong>Australia</strong>n, European & American helmets standards will apply.<br />
• All riders must wear riding boots and an approved helmet at all times whilst mounted,<br />
including presentations.<br />
• Coats must be worn in all presentations in the Olympic Arena.<br />
• Coats must be worn until the organising committee say otherwise. If summer uniform<br />
is to be worn shirts must have sleeves. Ties and ratcatchers must be worn. White ties<br />
must be worn if the rider is not wearing a coat.<br />
• The Organising Committee reserves the right at their absolute discretion to alter or<br />
amend any of the conditions, regulations, or any aspect of the event as they see fit.<br />
• The Organising committee reserves the right to swab horses. Random swabbing of<br />
horses may be conducted in any class. Horses chosen for swabbing must proceed<br />
directly to the swabbing box immediately after the presentation.<br />
• All prize presentations will be mounted. Ribbons and rugs will be placed on the horses<br />
prior to them entering the arena for the presentation.<br />
• Riders with stallions that are placed in a class may substitute the stallion with another<br />
horse for the presentation.<br />
• All entries for the Future Stars <strong>Classic</strong> must bring grading cards or a photocopy of the<br />
current performance card to be sited by the office.<br />
• Refunds: 50% refunds will only be given on presentation of a doctor’s certificate or a<br />
veterinary certificate. There will be no refunds for missing classes.<br />
• If the show or any day of the show has to be cancelled entry fees will be refunded for<br />
the days cancelled.<br />
• Written application for refunds must be received within 10 days after the event to<br />
espjane@bigpond.com<br />
• The $9 Venue levy per horse per day for horses not stabled is a fee charged by SIEC.<br />
• All dogs must be on leads and secured at all times. No dogs are allowed in the practice<br />
arenas or competition arenas. Dogs must be on leads in Stable Area.<br />
HORS CONCOURS (HC)<br />
Non Competitive. Any rider declaring a horse to be competing non competitively or HC the<br />
horse will not be able to be competitive in any other class for that day.<br />
Golf Buggies & Motor Bikes<br />
Must be driven by a licensed driver and are not to be driven after dark. Vehicles must not<br />
be driven under the influence of alcohol. Only officials may drive golf buggies in the stable<br />
area. Three and Four wheeler bikes are not permitted at SIEC.<br />
STABLING<br />
ARRIVAL TIME: The following times are the arrivals for horse vehicles:-<br />
• From 12pm to 5pm Wednesday<br />
• From 7am to 7pm Thursday<br />
• From 6am Friday, Saturday and Sunday.<br />
• Anyone not able to arrive within these hours must contact the Stable Manager.<br />
Stable Rules:<br />
• Stables will be allocated and the stable area is under the direction of the stable<br />
manager.<br />
• Thongs are not to be worn in stable area.<br />
• Dogs MUST be on leads in stable area.<br />
• Horses are not to be tied to stable doors<br />
STABLE MANAGERS HOURS are 6am until 7pm. Only Special circumstances will permit<br />
horses to arrive outside these times and prior arrangements need to be made for arrivals<br />

DEFINITIONS<br />
Young Rider From the beginning of the calendar year in which they reach the age of 16<br />
until the end of the calendar year in which they reach the age of 21. Riders of the correct<br />
age may compete in both Junior and Young Rider but on different horses. Horses may only<br />
compete in either Junior or Young Rider not both.<br />
Junior From the beginning of the calendar year in which they reach the age of 12 until the<br />
end of the calendar year in which they reach the age of 18. Riders of the correct age may<br />
compete in both Junior and Young Rider but on different horses. Horses may only compete<br />
in either Junior or Young Rider not both.<br />
Amateur Is a rider 21 years and over, has never competed in a World Cup Qualifier, who has<br />
never competed in Olympic Games or World <strong>Equestrian</strong> Games in Showjumping or <strong>Event</strong>ing<br />
and has not competed in Part 1 or 2 at Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne or Adelaide Royal<br />
Shows in the past two years and can not have competed in a 4 Star 3 Day <strong>Event</strong>.<br />
The Final round of the <strong>Jumping</strong> <strong>NSW</strong> Amateur of the Year Series will be held – Class<br />
22 is The Amateur Championship Class.<br />
Olympic Arena<br />
• The organising Committee reserves the right to refuse an entry if it is deemed<br />
unsuitable or unsportsmanlike for that class.<br />
• Formal dress code shall apply unless otherwise advised. (White or fawn breeches only.)<br />
Shirts must have sleeves.<br />
• Coats must be worn in all presentations in the Olympic Arena.<br />

• The Mini-Prix class is for non World Cup horses.<br />

on a pointscore from the 2 classes listed in the schedule as Qualifying Classes.<br />
• Points will be awarded in each qualifying class (from 1st to 20th) . If there is equality of<br />
placing then the points will be shared.<br />
• Should there be equality of points at the completion of the two qualifying classes then<br />
the rider placed highest in the second qualifying class for their division shall be ranked<br />
the highest.<br />
• Entries for the Super Junior Final and the Young Rider Final shall be made at the show<br />
office on the Saturday afternoon by 3 pm, 10th December, without a late entry<br />
surcharge.<br />
• Horses not qualifying for the second round of the Future Stars will be permitted to enter<br />
Class 6 (1.25m) without any charge. Entries must be made before 4pm on Friday<br />
afternoon.<br />
• Will run in order of the draw based on the horse. Arena One will take priority.<br />
Arena Two<br />
• Formal dress code shall apply unless otherwise advised. (White or fawn breeches only.)<br />
Shirts must have sleeves.<br />
• Each horse may only start in two classes in this arena each day.<br />
• Will run in order of the draw based on the horse. If you have horses competing in the<br />
Olympic Arena and the classes clash notify the marshal in Arena 2 as the Olympic<br />
Arena will take preference.<br />
Future Stars <strong>Classic</strong><br />
• Horses must be 50 points or less as of the closing date for entries, 2nd December,<br />
2011.<br />
• The top 20 horses from the first round of the Future Stars on Friday will qualify for the<br />
Final on Saturday.<br />
World Cup Competitors.<br />
• All horses entered in the World Cup Qualifying Round will be required to undergo a<br />
fitness inspection “trot-up”.<br />
• The fitness inspection will take place on Saturday 10th December. (Riders will be<br />
advised of the time and exact location in the show newsletter)<br />
• Must have current Horse passports.<br />

These classes will be judged events for the development & encouragement of the breeding and preparation of <strong>Australia</strong>’s Young <strong>Jumping</strong> Horses.<br />
The horses will be judged by four judges. It will be judged on 20% confirmation, 30% flat work and 50% jumping. Only horses having qualified at<br />
the specified shows through 2011 may enter.<br />

Flatwork workout will be available before the show and with the course plan on the day.<br />

WELFARE OF THE HORSE – CODE OF CONDUCT<br />
1. In all equestrian sports the horse must be considered paramount.<br />
2. The well being of the horse shall be taken above the demands of the breeders, trainers,<br />
riders, owners, dealers, organisers, sponsors or officials.<br />
3. All handling and veterinary treatment must ensure the health and welfare of the horse.<br />
4. The highest standards of nutrition, health, sanitation and safety shall be encouraged and<br />
maintained at all times.<br />
5. Adequate provision must be made for ventilation, feeding, watering and maintaining a<br />
healthy environment during transportation.<br />
6. Emphasis should be placed on increasing education in training and equestrian practices and<br />
on promoting scientific studies in equine health.<br />
7. In the interests of the horse, the fitness and competence of the rider shall be regarded as<br />
essential.<br />
8. All riding and training methods must take account of the horse as a living entity and must<br />
not include any technique considered by the FEI to be abusive.<br />
9. National Federations should establish adequate controls in order that all persons and bodies<br />
under their jurisdiction respect the welfare of the horse.<br />
10 The national and international Rules and Regulations in equestrian sport regarding the<br />
health and welfare of the horse must be adhered to not only during the national and<br />
international events, but also in the training. Competition Rules and Regulations shall be<br />
continually reviewed to ensure such welfare.<br />
