LEGO ® Robotics camps let campers design, build and<br />
program a variety of robots. All camps include outdoor<br />
games and activities.<br />
One-week LEGO programs include:<br />
Girl Power:<br />
LEGO Rocks!<br />
Girls only<br />
Design, build and program robots that dance, sing<br />
and play while building self-confidence and developing<br />
science and engineering skills.<br />
(ages 9 to 14)<br />
LEGO Explorers<br />
Learn basic building techniques and create robots from<br />
your imagination using the LEGO WeDo materials.<br />
(ages 6 to 9)<br />
LEGO Innovators:<br />
Advanced NXT Robotics<br />
Challenge and expand your LEGO NXT building<br />
and programming skills while becoming a young<br />
entrepreneur.<br />
(ages 10 to 14)<br />
Experience unique summer camps at UOIT<br />
◦ Weekly programs for campers aged 6 to 14<br />
are available at UOIT in July and August.<br />
◦ Girls can share their interests in science,<br />
technology and the environment with each<br />
other during the girls only weeks!<br />
◦ <strong>Camp</strong>s are held at the North Oshawa campus<br />
at 2000 Simcoe Street North.<br />

Introduction to NXT Robotics<br />
Enjoy hands-on activities to challenge your mind<br />
by designing and programming robots with the NXT<br />
Mindstorms materials.<br />
(ages 9 to 12)<br />
◦ Most camps run Monday to Friday from 9 a.m.<br />
to 4 p.m. <strong>Camp</strong>s for ages 6 to 9 years run<br />
Tuesday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.<br />
◦ <strong>Camp</strong>ers can bring their own lunch or<br />
purchase a meal plan.<br />
◦ Before and after care is available for an<br />
additional fee.<br />

Explore<br />
Savvy Science and Nature camps offer hands-on activities including eco-art,<br />
environmental challenges, drama and discovery to help you become a field<br />
scientist. Conduct authentic investigations much as scientists do using iPads,<br />
cameras, digital microscopes and scientific equipment.<br />
Natural Curiosity<br />
Question, collect and explore in a natural environment to<br />
spark an interest in science, technology and engineering.<br />

Discovery <strong>Camp</strong><br />
Explore kitchen chemistry, engineering challenges, nature<br />
exploration and an introduction to LEGO robotics.<br />

Super Sleuths<br />
Become an investigator as you solve and report forensic,<br />
technology and science mysteries inside and outside.<br />
(ages 8 to 13)<br />
Enviro Wizards<br />
Enjoy nature scavenger hunts, orienteering, geocaching, daily outdoor<br />
activities, survival games and science and nature experiments.<br />

Exploration Galore<br />
Participate in hands-on science experiments, engineering challenges,<br />
rocketry and outdoor adventures.<br />

Girls only<br />
Solve fun science, engineering and technology challenges in a supportive<br />

Turtle Island<br />
Exploring the Relationship Between<br />
Aboriginal People and the Land<br />
Uncover and explore the traditional knowledge of Aboriginal people and<br />
the importance of being stewards of the environment, through games<br />
and activities.<br />
