SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME
The Jean Monnet Evaluation Committee has evaluated all applications and has
determined the list of candidates eligible to take the written examination for the
2010-2011 academic year Jean Monnet Scholarship Programme. The list and
a note on all information regarding the written exam can be seen hereunder.
The exam entry document template can also be found below. Candidates need
to fill in the document and be present at the stated exam venue on Saturday
17 April 2010 at 09:00 a.m. with their Exam Entry Document.
The Central Finance and Contracts Unit will provide information in writing to
applicants who have not been found eligible to take the written examination.

INFORMATION REGARDING THE JEAN MONNET SCHOLARSHIP
PROGRAMME WRITTEN EXAM
1. The exam will be held on Saturday 17 April 2010 at TOBB Economy
and Technology University Social Affairs Building Söğütözü Street
No:43 Söğütözü 06560 Ankara
2. Candidates need to be present at the exam centre at 09:00 a.m.
3. The exam will start at 10:00 a.m. and will take three hours (180
minutes). Late arrivals will definitely not be allowed in to take the exam.

Applicants will not be allowed to leave the exam hall within the last 30
minutes of the exam.
4. Use of dictionaries and similar assisting material will not be allowed.
5. Candidates who are eligible to take the written exam Candidates may
be requested to write an essay in the written exam on the European
Union Integration Process and/or about the study subject that they have
stated in their application form.
6. Three A4 size special answer sheets will be provided for the exam (6
pages both sides). The answer sheets will be distributed in the exam
hall. Candidates will not be allowed to use alternative answer sheets.
7. The language of the exam will be in the European Union official
language stated by the applicant in the initial application and which the
study will be pursued in.
8. Candidates are required to have with them the photographed
Examination Entry Document which clearly demonstrates their identity
(candidates need to print this document from the web page, fill in the
sections relating to name/surname and candidate number and bring it to
the exam venue with a passport photograph taken in the last six (6)
months).
9. Candidates should also have an official identity document with them
(nationality ID, driving licence or passport).
10. Invigilators of the examination may decide that the photograph on the
official identity document has no resemblance to the candidate in which
case they may ask the candidate to provide an alternative identity
document which clearly demonstrates resemblance.
11. Mobile phones and/or pagers are not allowed in to the examination hall.
Candidates are recommended to leave any mobile phones and/or
pagers outside the exam building.
12. Candidates are requested to bring with them at least two soft dark black
lead pencils, one ballpoint pen, eraser and a pencil sharpener. The
answer sheets must not be filled in pencil. Draft papers used must be
attached to the answer sheets and handed over to the invigilators before
leaving the exam hall.
13. Candidates must take the exam in the hall they are assigned to and
must not talk to each other during the exam.
14. Candidates are expected to abide by the rules of the exam and
warnings of the invigilators.
15. Exams of candidates who do not take the exam or who are unable to
take the exam due to any reason beyond control, who are not allowed to

enter the exam hall or who are expelled from the exam hall will not have
any validity.
16. The exam paper of somebody who is not eligible to take the exam has
no validity.
17. Exam papers will be assessed by a commission. Candidates are
recommended to write their exam papers legible and clearly to avoid
any error in the reading and assessment of the exam papers.
18. Names of candidates who have been successful in the written exam will
be eligible for interview. The names of successful candidates will be
announced on the web pages of the Secretariat General for EU Affairs
(www.abgs.gov.tr), the Central Finance and Contracts Unit
(www.cfcu.gov.tr), The Delegation of the European Commission to
Turkey (www.avrupa.info.tr) and the Jean Monnet Placement Agency
(www.jeanmonnet.org.tr).
19. Exam results will DEFINITELY not be given on telephone.
20. Candidates who are successful in the written exam will be interviewed
(in the foreign language stated in their initial application).The interview
dates, interview venue and interview times will be announced in the
above stated web pages together with the written exam results. All
candidates are recommended to follow the Secretariat General for EU
Affairs (www.abgs.gov.tr), the Central Finance and Contracts Unit
(www.cfcu.gov.tr), The Delegation of the European Commission to
Turkey (www.avrupa.info.tr) and the Jean Monnet Placement Agency
(www.jeanmonnet.org.tr) web sites.
