Creating a Shared Calendar (CalDAV) (do not print this document) 1. Open your iCal program on your computer. 2. Under the iCal menu at the top left of the screen, select Preferences and then click the Accounts button at the top of the Preferences window. 3. Click the + sign at the bottom of the empty accounts list 4. Change Account Type to CalDav, enter your docs1 username and password as shown, and then type in: ical.mcpherson.com:8008 as the server address. Click on Create. 5. You will get an Unsecured Connection warning. Click Continue. 6. Your account is now set up. You should see the new CalDav account in your accounts pane that was previously empty.

8. To allow other people (delegates) <strong>to</strong> view or modify your new <strong>shared</strong> calendar,<br />
right click (hold control and click) on the calendar and select “Get Info”<br />
9. You can change the name and<br />
color of your calendar in the<br />
calendar info screen. Click the<br />
Account Info but<strong>to</strong>n at the bot<strong>to</strong>m<br />
left <strong>to</strong> set up your delegates.<br />
10. Click the Delegation Tab near<br />
the <strong>to</strong>p right.<br />
11. Click the Edit but<strong>to</strong>n at the<br />
bot<strong>to</strong>m right.<br />
12. Click the + sign at the bot<strong>to</strong>m<br />
left and type the name of the<br />
person you want <strong>to</strong> be able <strong>to</strong> see<br />
(read) or see and change (read and<br />
write) your calendar. As you type,<br />
their email address should appear.<br />
Hit the return key. Their name<br />
(first.last) should appear in your<br />
list. If it doesn’t, contact Larry<br />
Chaney.<br />
13. Once all the people have been added that you want <strong>to</strong> have delegation on your<br />
<strong>shared</strong> calendar, and you’ve checked the box for read and write (only if you want<br />
them <strong>to</strong> be able <strong>to</strong> change your calendar), click Done and close the preferences.
Part II: For Those Who Will See/Edit Your Shared Calendar<br />

To See a Shared Calendar That Has Been Shared with You<br />
Steps 1-6 need <strong>to</strong> be completed by each person who will see or edit your calendar.<br />
Once they have created a CalDav Account on the iCal server by following steps 1-6,<br />
they can then elect <strong>to</strong> show those <strong>calendars</strong> which have been <strong>shared</strong> with them.<br />
1. Go <strong>to</strong> the iCal menu, select<br />
Preferences, and then choose<br />
Accounts. The CalDav account<br />
that was created in steps 1-6<br />
should be listed at the <strong>to</strong>p left.<br />
2. Click on the delegation tab at<br />
the <strong>to</strong>p right, and then check the<br />
box or boxes of the <strong>calendars</strong><br />
you’d like <strong>to</strong> show in your iCal list.<br />
3. You should see the <strong>shared</strong><br />
<strong>calendars</strong> appear under Delegates<br />
in your iCal Calendars list
