A life-changing opportunity — that is exactly what Arbonne is! It is still

hard for me to believe that 15 months ago I made the decision to start

a business that has changed my life and the lives of those around me.

Before Arbonne, I had been fortunate enough to be a stay-at-home

mommy to my two beautiful little girls, Isabella and Olivia. For the last

four years, taking care of my children and keeping up with the housework

was all I knew. I always wanted to contribute financially to our

family, but did not want to go back out into the workforce.

In the summer of 2004, my journey with Arbonne began when my good

friend and sponsor, NVP Alison Hamilton, called and told me about this

wonderful opportunity. I remember thinking to myself that it sounded too

good to be true. I was also uneasy with the idea of hosting in-home

Presentations. I had turned down many other home-based businesses

because of that, but something about Arbonne piqued my interest.

At the same time, we had recently moved to a new city for my husband’s

job. I was excited for the change, but scared at the same time. I only knew

a handful of people, if that. The move had caused some financial stress,

so I decided to wait tables at night to help make ends meet. That way, I

could still be at home during the day with my girls. It was nice to get out

of the house and meet new people, though I was working five nights a

week, three of those on the weekends. I missed my family. I remember

thinking there had to be some other way, but did not know what.

When Alison called me again, I said yes. Alison lives six hours away

from me, so ENVP Valerie Edwards came to do my first Presentation and

I signed up that night. I remember thinking, “What am I doing?” But my

gut kept telling me to go for it. I jumped in with blind faith. In October

2004, I scheduled my first six Presentations four hours away in my

hometown. I promoted to District Manager in two months. I maintained

District by myself for eight months because I had trouble finding business

builders. I continued to do monthly Presentations in my hometown,

since I had more contacts there. Eventually, I met new people where I

lived and was able to schedule Presentations locally. I thought I was

doing all I could do, but to no avail. By early April, I was ready to quit.

I was tired of the “nos,” driving back and forth and of trying to make

this work. I remember crying and feeling sorry for myself when I heard

the phone ringing. But, I was too busy having my pity party to answer

it. The next day, I listened to the message and it was a girl who had

come to one of my first Presentations. She wanted to start her own

Arbonne business. Well, needless to say, I did not quit!

Be consistent and determined

in every activity you do toward

building your business.

I attended NTC later that month and became so inspired and motivated.

I promised myself that I would do “whatever it takes” to make this

work. I had to be brutally honest with myself. Am I doing everything I

could be doing? Am I really out of my comfort zone? All the answers

were no. I had to stop all of the excuses and get over my fears. I

increased my activity and changed my way of thinking. In August, I sent

out an e-mail to my team telling them we would be a Region by

February 2006, and we did it.

President Rita Davenport has said if this business was easy, Arbonne

would give out a white bike, instead of the opportunity to participate

in the Mercedes-Benz Cash Bonus Program to receive a white

Mercedes-Benz. For me, this business was not easy. I believed in the

wonderful products, the company and in network marketing. What I

was lacking was a belief in myself. I had to dig deep to find that belief,

and even deeper to stay disciplined. Although I have experienced

many ups and downs in this business, I am thankful for all of them.

Arbonne has given me the courage to grow and take action, instead

of sitting on the sidelines.

To my husband, Pat: I could not have done this without you. Thank you

for all of your love, support, patience and, most of all, for believing in

me. I love you! To Isabella, Olivia and our baby on the way: You are

my biggest Why. Thank you for your sacrifices and always helping

mommy pack. I love you all so much!

To my parents: Thank you for always watching the girls when I came

into town, for buying more Arbonne products than you needed and

for always telling me I could do anything I set my mind to. Your belief

has become my belief. To my in-laws: Thank you for all of your support

and encouragement!

To my sponsor and good friend, NVP Alison Hamilton: Thank you for

gifting me with this amazing opportunity and for believing in me when

I did not. Thank you for all of your encouragement and for always keeping

me grounded. You have been an amazing friend and sponsor.

To ENVP Sherri Dace and DM Jarrett Dace: Thank you both for all of

your help and encouragement! To ENVP Valerie Edwards: You have
