The owner of Streetbar, Dick Haskamp says, “Jimmy James
was not who I was expecting. Well, that’s not quite true. I
didn’t know what to expect. I’d never even spoken to him when
he showed fuga. up Um for quiatur his first estemporem sound quis check eaquunto - I’d conse only dealt with his
manager. I was filled with trepidation as I awaited his arrival. I
mean Jimmy James is BIG! He’s done all the major talk shows,
he’s appeared at huge venues around the world. What on earth
will he think of our beloved little StreetBar? I just knew he’d be
an evil, demanding ‘you know what’, and that he’d hate us and
probably fire his manager! Absolutely WRONG!! The person
who came in the door was perfectly charming, unassuming and
appreciative of everything we did for him. And now he’s my special
little sister who continues to blow me away with his talent at
every show!!
Jimmy James: The first time I did Marilyn Monroe in public was Halloween
1981 (when all good drag is born) in a Dance Club in my hometown of
San Antonio, TX. I entered the costume contest. I asked the MC if I could
borrow the mic. I sang acapella in Marilyn’s breathy voice: “Happy Halloween
to u... Happy Halloween, San Antonio, Happy Halloween to u.” The place
erupted with screams and applause! They went ballistic! I blew kisses to LIVE Magazine: Later you seemed to have concentrated on your song
them and they continued screaming wildly. For a boy who was hardly making writing and singing career. Your hit single, ‘Fashionista’, was at the top of The
any money in a part-time job at The Gap, it felt like the parting of the red Billboards Chart and is played at Fashion Shows worldwide. How does that
seas. It was that pivotal moment that said ... “you don’t need to be selling feel when you are present and hear your music?
jeans, you need to be Marilyn Monroe for the public. They miss her.” I met
my calling that night. I opened the window and she entered me... HALF there was PAGE Jimmy HORIZONTAL James: AD IT’S THE BIGGEST HIGH I’VE EVER KNOWN. To know
no turning back.
9.625 that X I conquered 7.98 something that no other “impersonator” could do - break
LIVE Magazine: Who were some of the first voices you took on and I
must say conquered?
Jimmy James: They were all hard work usually taking about 2 years to
learn. There was NO YouTube (a vital tool for me these days). The first voices
to conquer were: Judy Garland, Cher, Billie Holiday, Bette Davis, Eartha Kitt,
Mae West, Barbra Streisand (Barbra took 8 years to get good). Eventually I
branched out into Patsy Cline, Karen Carpenter, Diana Ross, Sonny & Cher,
Boy George, Madonna etc... Recently I’ve been able to do tributes to: Adele,
Elvis, Lana Del Ray, Macy Gray, Shirley Bassey and working on more... I
WILL ONLY TRIBUTE ARTISTS THAT I MYSELF ADORE. This keeps me
loving what I do.
LIVE Magazine: I first met you in Dallas in the late ‘80’s at The Village
Station during your Marilyn Monroe years. You have always packed audiences
at clubs but when your performance on The Phil Donahue Show you
became Internationally known and an instant hit sensation. What were your
Marilyn years like?
Jimmy James: My Marilyn Years were very busy, rewarding, hectic,
exhausting, invigorating, tragic, triumphant, frightening, frustrating, joyful,
sad, limiting, exuberant, powerful, vulnerable, possessed, magical. I was an
actor/performance artist who found his niche at 19 years of age. At times
I wished I could talk to her. I would think of her and wonder if was doing a
good job or not. I wanted my portrayal to be authentic. Remember, back then
there was NO YouTube. I didn’t have much access to understanding how to
play her outside of a movie script. I portrayed her from a feeling I got from
all I read about her. Years later after I retired her in ‘97, with the invention of
YouTube...I was very proud of myself. I discovered I played her right! I did it
right! I did it right! And Thank God I did! Because now there’s videos of me
on YouTube as MM. Whewww - I don’t have to cringe, I did it right!
away and do their own thing. In additionally, all my impersonations, I can
stand PROUDLY say, “I proved myself as an artist in my own right too.” I created
something original and I got respected for it. I’m proud of my whole album
JAMESTOWN. You know you’ve made it when drag queens around the
world are lip synching to the song/s you wrote. I see them on YouTube! I beam
with pride. Also when TV or film uses my music - and PAYS ME! What a thrill.
LIVE Magazine: What are your plans for the future?
Jimmy James: I am looking for a serious film maker to help me produce
a documentary of my Marilyn Years. I have tons of footage and thousands of
photographs to support the project. I would also like to keep active with my
nightclub act. StreetBar helps me practice LIVE and develop NEW material.
This is CRUCIAL. The StreetBar “Every Last Tue” monthly gig is very valuable
to me as I’m playing more theaters now around the country. I’m able to
keep my performance skills sharp and innovative - well practiced. This gig
builds my confidence. I’m so lucky and grateful I have a place to support my
“Work-In-Progress.” Plus Palm Springs is so glamorous to me.
LIVE Magazine: Palm Springs is so happy to have you for at least one
spectacular night at STREETBAR. Thank you Dick Haskamp for bringing us
The EYES Have it - The World of
Ron Cameron
What happens when an artist has so much energy that one medium
is just not enough? For Ron Cameron that energy explodes into
music, clothing, skateboards, murals and so much more.
Coming from Sacramento Ron was the consummate California kid. A child of
the suburbs, Ron lived with his mother, sister and dog. He discovered music and
skateboards. He began designing all things skateboard while still in his teens.
He was one of the founding members of RVCA Clothing. “As a kid it was punk,
thrift and 60’s psychedelic – those were my influences,” said Ron.
Becoming a professional skateboarder carried Ron to Southern California
and points around the world. After moving to Southern California, Ron began
painting murals. His distinctive “EYES” Pattern began to merge in the 1990s.
This pattern shows the 60’s psychedelic influence. The pattern evokes the wavy,
pop colors of the Laugh-In era. The “EYES” can be seen in Ron’s recent mural
work at BAR in Palm Springs as well as his paintings.
By Angela Romeo
DJ Ron has been making his mark in the Coachella Valley music since 1998.
He honed his craft watching and listening to comedians and radio djs. Ron’s
easy manner and pulse on the local scene makes him a much sought after Dj.
The Way Out is a part of his dj gig. As Ron states “The Way Out was specifically
created for my solo art show at EPIDEMIC Gallery in December 2011, not
so coincidentally called The Way Out. I began incorporating the music of my
skateboard years. This evolved into the backbone of a developing radio show. I
expect to launch The Way Out on local LA radio in the near future.”
Not enough? Ron was a consultant in the design of the Palm Springs
Skateboard Park. His latest clothing line, Nothing is Cool, is ready to launch.
And his acting career has Ron thinking of moving to LA. “I’ve loved acting since
I was a kid, but I just started studying over the past 8 years, primarily with Actors
Studio member Wendy Girard.” said Ron. “I enjoy acting. I want to take this part
of my life to the next level. LA is calling out to me.”
Whether Ron heads to LA or remains in the Coachella Valley will have little
impact on Ron’s prolific artistic career. “I was born to create. Here. There. It does
not matter. I am an artist and my artistic endeavors have no boundaries.”
LESBIAN HUMORIST
DOROTHY KIRK
TO APPEAR AT THE
DESERT ROSE PLAYHOUSE
rancho Mirage, ca - The Desert Rose Playhouse, the Valley’s
live stage company serving the LGBT community, will present
lesbian humorist Dorothy Kirk in two of her one-woman shows: a lab
production of i came out in a darkroom; and hold still! i can’t
March 7 – 9, 2014. i came out in a darkroom will be performed on
performed Saturday, March 8 at 8 PM and Sunday, March 9 at 2 PM.
Dorothy began writing and performing her personal stories a few years
ago as a result of taking singing lessons. ‘Singing Changed My Life
Twice,’ one of her stories in hold still! i can’t see Myself describes
how. The show’s theme is that we form our identity, decide what we’re
good at and not good at, and pursue our life’s path based on what
others tell us about ourselves. We use other people as our mirrors and
too often the mirrors they hold up to us reflect themselves more than
they do us. For better or worse, we become what our mirrors show us
to be.
Dorothy’s show, i came out in a darkroom, was inspired by
a conversation with a much younger lesbian who said to her in
astonishment, “My God, you came out before Stonewall, I’ve never
known a pre-Stonewall dyke before. Tell me what it was like.” The
title, i came out in a darkroom, refers to a photographic darkroom
and tells what it was like to come out as a lesbian in 1963/64 and how
silence, invisibility, and ignorance created a cultural dark room.
did you get Red Hots Burlesque
started?
Dottie Lux: I started going to
burlesque shows in Coney Island
before I was 21 and was so inspired
by the performers that I saw! Before
long I took on an internship with
performance artist Ducky Doolittle
and started producing shows in
Brooklyn. Ironically, I have my college
education to thank for my burlesque
career.
LIVE Magazine: Red Hots had
a great run in New York City. You
received lots of media attention from
The New York Times, CBS, Current
TV to name a few. Does one single
night of Red Hots stand out, like out
of the routine?
Dottie Lux: We have been even
more successful in San Francisco!
We brought the show in 2008 and
at that time there were no weekly
shows. We remain the only weekly
show in San Francisco and we’re
THREE nights each week! Our
show is always different and hosts
a wide variety of performers so it’s
hard to choose a favorite. The most
thrilling though has been bringing our
Wednesday show to SupperCLUB
San Francisco. It’s a massive artistic
space that is the ultimate in comfort
and decadence for both audience
members and performers. It is a
beautiful backdrop for aerialists,
contortionists, large group acts,
dramatic prop pieces and all sorts of
big bold burlesque acts. It always my
favorite to fill that room!
LIVE Magazine: When did you
move to the west coast. I see you
were voted #1 in Nightlife from YELP.
How does that feel?
Dottie Lux: I left NYC
Thanksgiving of 2007. It wasn’t easy
to leave, but I have fully adapted to
the West Coast lifestyle and I couldn’t
be happier, dude! As for YELP it’s
such a hilarious beast, but what an
honor to be noticed. As with any
business on that website, the people
have the power so it’s our number
one goal to satisfy everyone. This is
the main motivator for the having so
much variety in our show; everyone
leaves getting what they want.
LIVE Magazine: What LA clubs or
venues have you performed in?
Dottie Lux: For our Palm Springs
show we are bringing a different LA
performer each night. They are at the
top of their fields internationally, yes,
but especially locally. Lux LaCroix
is a burlesque star, documentary
filmmaker, professional ballerina
and award winning choreographer.
Professionally she has worked with
artists such as Kanye West, Chris
Brown, N.E.R.D., OutKast, Janet
Jackson and Lady GaGa. Selene
Luna has a regular show in LA called
“The Dog and Pony Show” and has
gained high acclaim performing
with Dita Von Teese and Margaret
Cho, but also for her long list of
work in Film and Television. We also
have Kristina Nekyia bellydancer,
contortionist, fire eater and nymph
she was the 2010 First Runner-Up for
the title of Queen of Burlesque at the
Burlesque Hall of Fame competition
in Las Vegas, and in 2005 she was
the Hips of Fury Belly Dance Ultimate
Soloist.
LIVE Magazine: What kind of
events does Red Hots Burlesque
perform?
Dottie Lux: We perform wherever
will hire us from happy birthday
messages delivered in corporate tech
offices (we wont say which) to large
scale arena shows for thousands of
people. We love being on stage and
giving people something to think
about.
LIVE Magazine: What lies in the
future with The Red Hots?
Dottie Lux: Complete world
domination. It’s important to us that
the message of body love, feminism
and joy is brought everywhere. Starting
with the untapped Palm Springs.
LIVE Magazine: We are looking
forward to The Red Hots and Dottie
Lux at Purple Room in Palm Springs,
California. What a salsy night it will
be!
The Purple Room announces
a very special appearance
by the lovely ladies of
Hello all you
FABULOUS people.
photos:
JOHN HEDGES
Pinkie’s Place
Hello all you FABULOUS
people out there. Here we are
at the end of February and
March is upon us? Can you
believe it? It has been a very
strange winter for us up on the
mountain in Idyllwild. We have
not had the amount of snow
that we usually get. This has
most of us mountain folk a bit
worried about summer and fire
season. Remember last year
when we were evacuated,
please pray to your higher power that we get some good rain or snow to
help calm the fire danger!
I have planted over a hundred Daffodil bulbs and they started to bloom in
mid February, that usually doesn’t happen until April, so that tells me what
kind of winter, or should I say, lack of winter we have had. I love the spring
flowers but I prefer that they come in spring of course, but they are still
beautiful whenever they come.
All things happen for a reason so it is not for me to question why the seasons
are acting up this year. Just as things in nature happen for a reason so
do things in life. There has been some things going on in the world that
surrounds us that are just out of whack. And again we can not change things
that have happened. All we can control is this very moment that we are living
in. We can’t make people like us. it is not for us to beg for people to give
us birthday or anniversary cards or gifts or cakes. If someone wants to do
something for you they will do it, no need for us to beg of people. We need to
be happy with our own life and how we live that life.
OK.....enough of my soapbox. Lets get on to fun and exciting things. Of
course you all know about the FABULOUS weekly Tuesday night Bella da
Ball Cabaret Dinner Revue at AZUL. It is every Tuesday night starting at
7:30 sharp. It is produced by my good friend Bella da Ball so you know that
when I say 7:30 sharp that is will start on time. So I suggest you arrive by
7:00, that way you can chat with the entertainers that are mingling about. It is
suggested that you call for reservations to have the best seating. You can call
760-325-5533 and make your reservation. My next appearance in the show
will be March 18th, yep the day after St. Patrick’s day.
Well it is Saturday and I need to get busy sewing on my quilt. It has been
nice having this little chat with you all. Thank you to Juli and Levvy for
producing this wonderful magazine and Thank You to all of our advertisers.
Please visit them and show your support!
Now go out and have the most amazing day. Enjoy every moment since
this moment is all that we are guaranteed. If you have any questions please
email me at PINKIEMERINGUE@YAHOO.COM
Deleon
Make Up Artist Extraordinaire
Palm Springs is so full of talented people
in so many areas of art and design and
film and music. This area is a great
incubator for young people to gain so
much insight into their particular interests.
It is also such a giving place. A place
where people love to help out and “send
the elevator down”
Javier Deleon is a rising talent in the
make-up world. Javier is young, driven,
talented and has a catching personality.
LIVE Magazine: Javier, at such an early age (16), what
was it like working at Fashion Week?
Javier: Having an expirience working with talented
designers was always a dream for me and I
expirienced a glimpse of it. I felt so privileged when I
seen I was going to attend El Paseo fashion Week. It
definetly introduced me to the fashion industry. Being
able to see your work walk down the runway was a
feeling I couldn’t explain. I look forward on working
with more designers in my future.
29
LIVE Magazine: After Fashion Week, did you find new
ideas, or anything different that you learned?
Javier: I definetly learned how to work under pressure
and pay attention to strict detail. It definetly broadened
my mentality in the makeup world with all the creativity
that was around me.Learning other techniques from
other makeup artist was a great expirience.
LIVE Magazine: How do you feel you influence other
young individuals to pursue there career goals?
Javier: Well growing up with several challenges and
over coming so many obstacles it is important to stay
true to yourself. I always educate my peers and young
people to keep pushing and never give up. I am not at
a place where i want to be just yet but i cherish all that
i have at the moment. Anything is possible and it just
takes one person and that is YOURSELF.
LIVE Magazine: Michael Costello has been on the
cover of LIVE Magazine several times. It looks like
you are following his career path. Do you see yourself
at Fashion Week in New York?
Javier: Michael Costello has always influenced me in all
aspects in this industry. His motivation and drive to give
his best is something I take in. Having any opportunity
to work in fashion week is something I always wanted to
do. The expirience of working with talented models and
designers is an amazing feeling that not just anyone
can expirience. I strive for the best and I’ll always
continue to work hard to achieve my dreams.
LIVE Magazine: What would you like to be working on
in your future?
Javier: My motto is to become someone who nobody
will forget. It will be a dream to start a makeup school
to offer my techniques and skills to other aspiring
artist. I feel it is important to have a mentor as a
starting out makeup artist to guide you in the right
path to become successful . I love to give back to
my industry that I love so much. I love teaching and I
balance it well with my Makeup career.
LIVE Magazine: You love to give back to the
community. Is there a particular cause that speaks to
you personally?
Javier: An important life lesson that I learned was,
No matter how tough you think your life is there’s
always someone who has to face challenges that
are even tougher then yours. My biggest sole reward
the realization that I’ve made a significant change in
someone’s life.
LIVE Magazine: Thank you so much Javier for the
interview. LIVE Magazine hopes that your elevator is
waiting. GOING UP!

Napoleon Hill’s Final Secret
When I look around my office, I see success
literature everywhere.
One of my favorites, especially in my early
years, was Napoleon Hill’s classic, Think and
Grow Rich.
You know that one. But I wonder if you know
about another, smaller book he wrote 40
years later, when he was nearly 85 years old,
called He said Grow he wrote Rich with because Peace he of wanted Mind to
demonstrate more fully not only that “there is
more to life than making money” but also “that
peace of mind in itself is a mighty force in
helping you make money.”
He’s right on both counts.
But here’s something else he wrote – something intriguing you might easily overlook:
“I have said this book has been nearly 70 years in the planning. Quite true,
but until recently I did not know it. I believe we are all guided by invisible
sources of inspiration, and recently there came to me inspiration from a
strange and very real source, revealing how much of my life has been spent
in preparing me to write these pages, urging me to uncover my typewriter and
get to work.”
Just reading that gives me chills — especially in light of my newest audio
program with Nightingale-Conant – The Zero Point: How to Enter the Realm
of Limitless Possibilities.
What is this invisible source of inspiration that Napoleon Hill describes?
The Zero Point.
The White Board.
Source.
Divinity.
Witness.
All that is.
“The key to modern day
Ho’oponopono is letting go of
any and all programs, so you
can be one with Divinity, otherwise
called at Zero. The secret
is to delete the programming
as you become aware of it.
When you do, Divinity will
come to you and through you.”
I believe when Napoleon Hill
talked about peace of mind
and inspiration, he was referring
to the Zero Point. I believe
he was quite familiar with it.
How else could he have
written a book that reached
around the world as many
times as Think and Grow
Rich?
Just as I said in my new audio
program, the promise of Zero,
Zero is not something “out there.”
It’s something within you, intrinsic and innate, that whispers to your heart, “Be
this…Do this…”
It includes your mind, but goes beyond your mind.
It’s how you can think bigger than ever before.
Zero is alive – and you can make a request of it that is so magnificent that
you’re constantly able to live a life of consistent expectancy.
This is not the same as intending something.
Intentions are from your ego, based on your past.
They’re based on what your mind thinks is possible, which means that intentions
are based on current data.
The whole world is watching Russia. As the Sochi Olympics approach
the halfway mark, a new law from Moscow bans international
adoptions by gay couples as well as single people from nations
that allow same-sex marriage — just in case these singles are gay.
Russia’s so-called “gay propaganda law” also has stirred enormous
controversy.
Against this contentious backdrop, Russian-born pop star Grace
Valerie has released a brand-new video that she hopes will contribute
a message of love and understanding to the raging debate on the role
of LGBT people in her native country.
“Diversity is what makes us strong,” Grace Valerie says. “That’s what
I’ve learned here in America.”
The now Los Angeles-based dance music artist explains that, “It’s sad
that my LGBT friends and fans don’t feel as free in Russia as they may
elsewhere. However, Russia’s LGBT grassroots movement is small
but growing. Gay bars and clubs continue to open across the country,
despite society’s disapproval. Things now are much better than they
QUARTER PAGE AD
were in the USSR or as they are in some African, Arab, or Latin
5.1042 X 8.0748
countries. Clearly, they are much better in the EU and the USA. Love
is not only the most universal language, but also the strongest driver
throughout human history. I sincerely believe in its power.”
“My new video is an expression of love,” Grace Valerie added in a
recent Huffington Post interview. “It crosses nations, shapes, colors,
and forms. It’s all about human relationships, about the complexity of
love – something anyone can relate to.”
Titled “Not For Love,” Grace Valerie’s new single features a sexy,
power-packed vocal performance atop an hypnotic beat. The video’s
eye-opening ending speaks directly to the questions of love and
sexuality now being discussed intensely, from Moscow to Malibu.
“As a Top 40 dance artist,” Grace Valerie says, “I’m very excited and
proud of the bold statements in my latest release — both my video’s
message to my fans and the bridge it provides between the two music
cities of Los Angeles and Nashville. It’s a very exciting time!”
HIDDEN SAN DIEGO:
THE LEGEND Of THE
muNcHkIN HOmES
So, what’s the truth behind this
enduring San Diego urban legend?
SAN DIEGO, Calif. -- Hillcrest Mardi Gras is back with a new
name - Hillcrest Fat Tuesday - and a great new location.
We will be going harder, faster and stronger than ever this year with Mardi
Gras Fat Tuesday on the east end of Hillcrest. Join us in the largest LGBT Fat
Tuesday celebration west of New Orleans, where we will bring the electric flair
of New Orleans right to the heart of Hillcrest.
On March 4, from 6-11 pm, let the wild rumpus begin as we transform
University Avenue between 10 th Ave. and Herbert Street to the carnival of the
year!
An outrageous masquerade parade will kick off Fat Tuesday festivities from
6 to 6:45 pm where we will be tossing joyous amounts of ornamental beads
to get you in the mood. Although our parade is free and open to the public,
Mardi Gras Fat Tuesday remains a ticketed 21-and-older event.
After the parade, let Mardi Gras Fat Tuesday whisk you away into a night of
mischief that only Hillcrest could get away with. Here are just a few things that
you can look forward to:
• Lavish stilt walkers
• Static trapeze and aerial silks performers
• Illuminated hoop and fire dancers
• VIP area equipped with private bar
• The Fabulous DJ’s Taj & Nikno bringing you the sounds of
Mardi Gras
• The Beautiful Tootie from LIPS and the radiant Paris Sukomi
Max
• Rich’s one night only, outdoor, Mardi Gras Fat Tuesday
nightclub
The evening will also feature gourmet food vendors and a lounge on the west
end where partygoers can rehydrate and enjoy the performance.
“ROSEMARY’S BABY”
FilmOut San Diego San Diego’s LGBT Film Festival
FilmOut San Diego (San Diego’s only LGBT film festival) will continue
its Monthly Screening Series on Wednesday, March 5th, 7:00pm, at
the North Park Theatre, with Roman Polanski’s:
Horrifying and darkly comic, Rosemary's Baby was Roman
Polanski's Hollywood debut. This wildly entertaining nightmare,
faithfully adapted from Ira Levin's best seller, stars a revelatory Mia
Farrow as a young mother-to-be who grows increasingly suspicious
that her overfriendly elderly neighbors (played by Sidney Blackmer
and an Oscar-winning Ruth Gordon) and self-involved husband
(John Cassavetes) are hatching a satanic plot against her and
her baby. In the decades of occult cinema that Polanski's ungodly
masterpiece has spawned, it has never been outdone for sheer
psychological terror. Running Time: 136
Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ffw1u0aXn0o
FilmOut San Diego annually affirms the ongoing integrity and
boundless imagination of our community and the artists who tell our
stories. We believe our work is an integral part of an ongoing effort
to build a vibrant, affirming and sustainable LGBT community in San
Diego County. We hope you will join us.
with iconic songs including: “Can’t Fight This Feeling,” “Take It On the Run,” “Keep
on Loving You,” “Roll with the Changes” and more. The concert is part of the 11th
records. The group’s nine-times certified platinum Hi Infidelity spent 15 weeks in
the #1 slot. Thirty–plus years later, Cronin and bandmates Bruce Hall (bass), Neal
Doughty (keyboards), Dave Amato (lead guitar) and Bryan Hitt (drums) are still
electrifying concert audiences across the nation. Live at Moondance Jam - the band’s
hit-filled performance from the country’s premier classic rock festival, was released
in both a Blu-ray and a deluxe edition (containing a CD and DVD in a glossy digipak)
Wally’s Desert Turtle Receives
Diners’ Choice Award 2014
RANCHO MIRAGE, Ca., Following the release of their
list of most romantic restaurants in the nation, OpenTable
today sent notifications to the winners of their Diners’
Choice Awards. Among those selected was Wally’s Desert
Turtle, a Coachella Valley landmark for over 36 years.
Diners’ Choice lists are generated by the feedback received from
diners who book through OpenTable and are marked as “seated” in
the restaurant. OpenTable then emails these diners asking them to
complete a Dining Feedback Form about the various aspects of their
dining experience.
“The real story here is the validation of our recent rebranding efforts”
states Michael Botello, owner of Wally’s Desert Turtle. “My father
(Wally) built this restaurant in 1978 and I’ve been managing it since
1984. But it’s been a tough economy these past few years, so it’s
great to see our reimagined menu and refreshed branding resonate
with so many diners”, he added.
The recipient of many awards and accolades through the decades,
Wally’s recent appointment of New York City via Napa Valley
transplant, Richard Pelz as Executive Chef has resulted in a
reimagined menu, which now includes sustainable, organic and
premium fare alongside some beloved classics.
America is experiencing a gourmet revolution, visible in everything
from craft cocktails to the increase of organic and sustainable
products, and the interest in farm-to-table done upscale. “We are
extremely happy to see that the recent OpenTable reviews scored us
with 5-stars across the board; food, service, ambiance and overall
experience”, Botello stated.
OpenTable states that it has a secure and robust algorithm to keep the
system from being gained. Additional details can be found here:
http://support.opentable.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/120/kw/choice
About Wally’s Desert Turtle
Wally’s Desert Turtle has been part of the desert dining scene for over
36 years. One of the few family-owned and operated independents;
Wally’s is currently under-going a renaissance, transforming itself from
a traditional classic to a modern, fine-dining destination.
