<strong>SAMPLE</strong> <strong>PROGRAM</strong> <strong>OF</strong> <strong>TRAINING</strong> <strong>FOR</strong> <strong>PREDOCTORAL</strong> TRAINEES<br />
The doctoral program consists of 13 required courses, a Qualifying Examination, a Preliminary examination, a defense of the<br />
dissertation proposal, dissertation work, and a defense of the final dissertation. A full time student takes three or four courses a<br />
semester in the Fall and Spring Semester of every year. A typical model curriculum is provided. However each student, with their<br />
advisor, develops an individual plan by substituting courses as needed in their area of concentration.<br />
