northants: 01327 342211 • cheshire: 01270 812305 Narrowboat Me & Dora Me & Dora is a traditional narrowboat, built in 2007 by Stuart Hodges and fitted out to a high standard by the owner. The hull features s-shaped 14ft long swims for superior handling. The boat has an open well deck with storage lockers that double as seating, in the bow area there is also a forecabin, which is used as storage. The stern has taff rail seating. On entering the boat through the front entrance, steps into the saloon double up as storage, the saloon has free standing furniture and the area is heated by a bubble solid fuel corner stove, the stove has a back boiler that heats the rest of the boat. There is another entrance into the saloon, this is via a port side hatch, the steps down again double up into storage. Me & Dora has a large galley area with an abundance of storage, cooking is in the form of a gas hob, oven and grill along with a microwave, there is also a 12v fridge. From the galley we then enter the dinette area, the dinette doubles up as an double berth and can also be used for storage, another hatch is in this area of the boat on the starboard side, with a small set of steps. The bathroom is located next to the dinette, the toilet is an electric flush Jabsco pump out toilet, the sink is set into a vanity unit and there is a shower over a 3/4 bath. The bedroom has a fixed double bed with a 3/4 height wardrobe. From the bedroom the engine room is accessed via a door on the starboard side, on entering the engine room from the bedroom on the port side is a compartment which houses a porta potti. The boat is powered by a Beta 50, which is hydraulically driven, the prop is a Crowther high efficiency prop, there is also an hydraulic bow thruster. The engine is boxed in, in the engine room.
