Activities:
Prof. Dr. Levy’s career has been mainly in advanced R&D in Mechanical / Electronic world
with leading Swiss machinery industries. Specialising in Manufacturing technologies,
Technology management, Market - Product strategies, key customers, industrial, scientific,
technical and practical aspects of product design and manufacture, market launch and
technology transfer. A wide range of academic activities and have also been maintained.
Memberships: CIRP, SME, GARPA, active in ISEM MTDR and other organisations.
Prof. Dr. Levy holds 30 Patents; he published around 150 scientific and technical
publications, over the half are dealing AM (Additive Manufacturing) technologies. The
development and market introduction of the DuraForm, DuraForm Flex, DuraForm
HST, CastForm and other SLS materials as well as system upgrades (Stable Temp)
may be observed in this context.
Prof. Dr. Levy’s leading edge long-term technological work is streamed in parallel. Once
industry and related products (production machinery) innovation and IP and once

academia research (non traditional processes) innovation and publications; a double
frontier livelihood in manufacturing.
