The Cathedral of<br />
Santa Maria della<br />
Neve<br />
In an elevated position rises, in the namesake square, the cathedral of<br />
Santa Maria della Neve, built between 1836 and 1854 in neoclassical style.<br />
Not far away is the Museo della Vita e delle Tradizioni popolari Sarde<br />
(Museum of Life and Popular Traditions of Sardinia), opened since 1976 to<br />
house several collections: unique in its genre is the exhibition of traditional<br />
Sardinian clothing, and remarkable are those of jewels, utensils, fabrics<br />
and furnishings typical of the Island’s craftsmanship.<br />
At the end of the long panoramic road of Viale Ciusa rises the Chiesa della<br />
Solitudine (Church of the Solitude). Built on a plan by Giovanni Ciusa<br />
Romagna, it preserves inside the remains of Grazia Deledda.<br />
