This beautiful cowl was knit with just 1 hank <strong>of</strong> <strong>Plymouth</strong>’s <strong>Mushishi</strong> yarn.<br />
<strong>Mushishi</strong> is a fabulous blend <strong>of</strong> wool and silk that is self striping and has<br />
a tweedy look to it. It comes with enough yardage (491!) to make either<br />
the long or short version <strong>of</strong> this cowl.<br />
Approx. Size: 25 (42)” around, 24 (14)” deep<br />
Materials: 1 hank <strong>Mushishi</strong> shown in color<br />
15 (long) & 16 (short)<br />
Needles: 24” circular size 8, 1 stitch marker,<br />
1 size 9 needle for loose cast on<br />
and bind <strong>of</strong>f if needed.<br />
Gauge: 4 sts = 4” over st st on size 8.<br />
ABBREVIATIONS: K = Knit<br />
P = purl<br />
st(s) = stitch(es).<br />
Directions: With the larger needle, loosely<br />
cast on 100 (170) sts. Place marker and<br />
join into the round, taking care not to twist.<br />
Begin working with the smaller needle.<br />
Work in pattern as follows: *(Knit 3 rounds.<br />
Purl 3 rounds); repeat from * until almost out<br />
<strong>of</strong> yarn, or until desired length is reached.<br />
Bind <strong>of</strong>f loosely in pattern, using the<br />
larger needle.<br />
Weave in all ends.<br />
