superintendent Frank Hammond, for whom the house was constructed, <strong>and</strong><br />

Territorial government figure Judge James Wickersham who purchased the<br />

house in the 1920's, <strong>and</strong> because it demonstrates patterns <strong>of</strong> community<br />

development in <strong>Juneau</strong>, Alaska.<br />
