outside the Adult Department.
• Member registration begins January 11th.
Non-member registration begins January 17th.

GUEST POLICY
Based on space availability, a $10 pass per guest, per class can be
purchased in the Adult Department prior to class for occasional
guests to accompany registered student. Guest passes cannot be
purchased in lieu of class registration!

“Better Dead than Red”: America’s Anti-Communist Crusade
Instructor: John Pesda, Ph.D., Faculty Camden County College
This course will deal with the anti-Communist movement in the 1950s and its relationship to the Cold
War as well as domestic politics including a discussion of the perpetrators: J. Edgar Hoover, Senator Joseph
McCarthy, Richard Nixon and the House Un-American Activities Committee along with the victims
including Julius and Ethel Rosenberg, teachers, actors, writers and directors. The causes, the impact of this
crusade on American society and the reasons for its demise will be our focus.
