ThermoShell - MINERAL
Description
A dry powder mix mineral finish render available in 1.5, 2, 3 and 5mm grain sizes. Using
different tools and techniques, a variety of textures can be achieved from a light floated
appearance to a heavy rustic finish.
Use in conjunction with ThermoShell (TS) - SELF CLEAN for a superior long lasting finish.
Application
Cover and mask dirt sensitive elements such as glazing. Protect background from weather
ensuring that the surface is dry and free from dirt and dust. Backgrounds should be treated first
with TS-PRIMER M and allowed to dry for 12 hours before application.
Ensure that the same batch numbers are being used for areas of coloured render. Mix
the contents of the bag with approximately 6.25 litres of clean water (1.5mm grain) and
approximately 6.8 litres of clean water (2mm grain and above) to a lump free consistency,
re-stir after 15 minutes.
Apply the TS-MINERAL to the thickness of the grain using a stainless steel trowel and texture
using a plastic/rubber/sponge or stainless steel float. Always work to a wet edge to avoid dry
lines and protect from the weather.
Do not carry out works if the air or surface temperature is +5ºC and falling. Do not apply
TS-MINERAL where the surface is likely to be exposed to rain before the product has dried.
Wash all equipment and tools immediately after use.

Figures based upon a smooth background. For rough backgrounds allow for 10% extra usage.
Safety at work
Mineral renders exhibit an alkaline reaction upon contact with water and therefore may
cause skin irritation or eye damage. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Wear eye/face
protection. In case of contact with the eyes rinse immediately with clean water and seek
medical advice

Environmental
TS-MINERAL possesses no contents that are ecological hazards and therefore represents
no known threat to the environment.
Handling and storage
TS-MINERAL is supplied in 25kg bags and should be stored In a dry moisture protected
environment. Shelf life of 9 months, subject to cool frost free storage.
