Bicentennial Prizes. Any artwork
which best addresses the theme.
Adult: $1,400; Secondary student: $50;
Primary student: $50. Sponsored by the
Liverpool Bicentenary Commitee.
Casula Powerhouse Scholarship.
To be used towards recipient’s cost
of materials and/or art classes.
The award is $1,500.
Overall Winner. Any artwork from any
category (except Children’s categories).
The award is $500.
Painting – Traditional Prize.
Any acrylic, oil or mixed media on
canvas or board created within a
Traditional style. First Prize: $250;
Second Prize: $100.
Painting – Non-Traditional Prize.
Any acrylic, oil or mixed media on canvas
or board created within a non-Traditional
style. First Prize: $250; Second Prize: $100.
Works on Paper Prize.
Any medium on paper. First Prize: $250;
Second Prize: $100.
Sculpture Prize.
Any 3-dimensional artwork of any
medium. The Prize is $50.
Photography Prize.
Any photographic or photomedia
based artwork. The prize is $50.
Children’s Prizes.
Any artwork created by an artist
aged 17 years or younger. Secondary
student: $100; Primary student: $50
Sponsored by Michael Zaiter.
People’s Choice Prize.
Any artwork from any category (except
Children’s categories). The prize is $100
Art Matrix voucher & one (1) Casula
Powerhouse short course voucher.
People’s Choice Voter’s Prize.
This Prize is awarded to a randomly
drawn People’s Choice voter.

Exhibition launch will be held on
18 September 2010; 12 to 2pm.
ELIGIBILITY
The Liverpool Art Society 2010 Annual
Exhibition is only open to financial
members of Liverpool Art Society Inc.
All artists, except for those who enter
the children’s category must be 18
years of age or over.
Closing date for registration forms
Monday, 16 August 2010
(by 4:30pm)
Entries received after this date
are ineligible.
Delivery of artworks
Friday 3 & Saturday 4 September
2010 (10am – 4:30pm)
Artworks received after 4:30pm on
4 September will not be included in
the exhibition.
Collection of artworks
Friday 8 & Saturday 9 October 2010
(10am – 4:30pm)
Artworks not collected by 4:30pm on
9 October will be disposed.
Artists may submit either: up to 3
artworks that must not exceed 100cm
by 100cm or up to 2 artworks that
must not exceed 150cm by 150cm
(including sculpture and photography).
All artworks must be ready for
hanging at time of delivery.
The artwork must be the original
work of the artist and must be
signed by the artist.
Artworks must have been produced
in the last 24 months and be the
property of the artist or their agent.
Artworks by groups of eligible
artists may be entered.

All participating artists must be a financial member of the
Liverpool Art Society Inc. (family membership covers immediate
family only). All artists, except for those who enter the children’s
category must be 18 years of age or older. Proof of age may be
required.
The submitted artwork must be the original work of
the artist and must have been completed in the last
24 months.
The submitted artwork must not have been exhibited in
any previous Liverpool Art Society Annual Art Exhibition.
Artists may submit either: up to 3 artworks that must
not exceed 100cm by 100cm or 2 artworks that must
not exceed 150cm by 150cm (including sculpture
and photography).
All judges will be appointed by the Liverpool Art Society
Committee in consultation with the Casula Powerhouse. The
decision of the judge will be final and no
correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
A monetary prize for the Sculpture and Photography categories
is dependent on sufficient number of entries.
All exhibiting artists will permit their artworks to be reproduced
in print and electronic media for the purpose of advertising
and promoting the Annual Liverpool Art Society Exhibition.
Casula Powerhouse reserves the right to reproduce artworks in
subsequent promotional material in consultation with the artist.
All Registration Forms and entry fees must be sent
to Liverpool Art Society by 4:30pm on Monday 16 August
2010.
Artists are responsible for organising all transport matters
including costs of the delivery and collection of their artworks.

All artworks must be delivered to Casula Powerhouse 10am
- 4:30pm on Friday 3 or Saturday 4 September 2010.
Artwork labels must be completed and attached to
the back of each artwork. Unlabelled artworks will
not be accepted.
All artworks must be ready for hanging. Casula
Powerhouse will not accept any artworks that are wet,
incomplete, structurally unstable or damaged in any way. Casula
Powerhouse will not repair any artworks on the artist’s behalf.
All artworks must be collected from Casula Powerhouse
10am – 4:30pm on Friday 8 or Saturday 9 October 2010.
Artworks not collected by 4:30pm on Saturday 9 October
2010 will be disposed.
All artworks will be available for collection unwrapped. Any
artists wanting to wrap their works will need to bring all
wrapping or packaging with them and wrap the artwork/s
themselves.
Casula Powerhouse will exercise the same care in respect to the
submitted artworks as it does in the safe keeping of comparable
property of its own. But no liability will be accepted by Casula
Powerhouse for loss or damage to any artwork whilst in transit,
storage or on display at the Annual Liverpool Art Society
Exhibition 2010.
Casula Powerhouse reserves the right to refuse and/or withhold
any artwork from display at its own discretion.
All artists will be charged an Entry fee of $10.00 (incl. GST) per
artwork. All cheques must be made payable to Liverpool Art
Society Inc. All Entry fees are to be paid when submitting the
Registration Form.
Any Registration Forms not accompanied by payment will not
be included in the exhibition. All Entry Fees are non-refundable.

Children (17 years or younger) are exempt from the entry fee.
All artworks available for sale for $100.00 or more will
be subject to 20% commission.
All artworks available for sale for $99.00 or less will
not be subject to any commission.
The Scholarship winner must be 18 years of age or older at the
date of exhibition. Proof of age may be required.
The Scholarship winner must have been a financial member of
the Liverpool Art Society Inc. for at least
12 months prior to this exhibition.
Previous winners of the Scholarship Award will not be eligible
for the scholarship prize for the next five (5) annual exhibitions
from the date of winning the Award.
Scholarship applicants are required to provide
further information (CV, artist statement and biography) before
the Registration deadline.
The Scholarship winner will be required to hold an exhibition of
new artwork at the 14th Annual Liverpool Art Society Exhibition
at Casula Powerhouse in 2011.
The Scholarship winner is to use the Scholarship Prize for the
purposes of tuition and/or the purchase of materials, which must
be utilised for the production of a new body of work that will be
exhibited in the 14 th Annual Liverpool Art Society Exhibition, 2011.
The Annual Liverpool Art Society Exhibition is a Casula
Powerhouse Arts Centre project developed in partnership
with the Liverpool Art Society.
