gala CElEBration<br />
To celebrate 100 years <strong>of</strong> business growth and<br />
economic vitality in <strong>Highland</strong> <strong>Park</strong>, the <strong>Highland</strong> <strong>Park</strong><br />
<strong>Chamber</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Commerce</strong> hosted a Centennial Gala<br />
on Sunday, November 14, 2010 at the <strong>Highland</strong> <strong>Park</strong><br />
Community House. The evening highlighted <strong>Highland</strong><br />
<strong>Park</strong>’s business history and how the community has<br />
grown into the appealing and energetic business<br />
environment it is today. Guests enjoyed cocktails,<br />
food stations, raffles and prizes. The Centennial<br />
Gala also served as the <strong>Chamber</strong>’s Annual Meeting<br />
to induct its new <strong>of</strong>ficers. A <strong>Chamber</strong> Awards<br />
Presentation for Business Excellence honored<br />
businesses for their commitment to the <strong>Chamber</strong> and<br />
community in several categories, including: retail,<br />
service, dining, nonpr<strong>of</strong>it, entertainment and “still<br />
missed, still loved.”<br />
StUdEnt Honor dinnEr<br />
Every spring the <strong>Highland</strong> <strong>Park</strong> <strong>Chamber</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Commerce</strong> member businesses<br />
annually recognize a select group <strong>of</strong> High School Seniors and awards<br />
scholarships for achievements. Pictured here is the <strong>2011</strong> group <strong>of</strong> Honorees.<br />

& PEt ParadE<br />
Fourth <strong>of</strong> July parade in <strong>Highland</strong> <strong>Park</strong><br />
leads <strong>of</strong>f with <strong>Highland</strong> <strong>Park</strong> <strong>Chamber</strong><br />
<strong>of</strong> <strong>Commerce</strong>’s Dixieland Band and the<br />
Bike and Pet Parade. More than 300<br />
children, dressed in patriotic colors come<br />
downtown for this fun event to ride<br />
and walk in the parade with decorated<br />
bikes and pets. The theme for this year’s<br />
parade is “The <strong>Highland</strong> <strong>Park</strong> <strong>Chamber</strong> <strong>of</strong><br />
<strong>Commerce</strong> celebrates 100 years!”<br />
BUSinESS aftEr HoUrS<br />
<strong>Chamber</strong> members regularly gather to attend Business After Hours<br />
at one <strong>of</strong> the local <strong>Chamber</strong> businesses. It’s an opportunity to meet,<br />
exchange business cards and talk business in a relaxed and informal evening<br />
setting that includes networking, socializing, appetizers and beverages.<br />
