Comfort doesn’t have to be expensive: recognised tests have shown that a parking
heater only leads to a minimum increase in fuel consumption. A pre-heated engine
burns less fuel. This almost fully compensates the extra consumption during the
heating phase. At the same time this spares the engine and makes it less susceptible
to repairs. That saves cash.

All Webasto parking heaters work according to the same principle and ensure a
pleasant feel-good climate in a very efficient way:
When you activate your parking heater with one of our controls the dosing pump
delivers fuel from the vehicle’s tank to the heater.
The glow plug in the heater is supplied with current and begins to glow. Ambient
air is drawn into the device at the same time.
The fuel is vaporised by the hot plug. The combustible fuel-air mixture ignites
once the required temperature has been reached.
The cold cooling water is now heated by the heater and flows to the heat
exchanger in the vehicle’s heating system. The heat is then blown directly into
the passenger compartment using the vehicle’s own blower fans.

The warm water then flows from the heat exchanger to the engine. This is also
heated up. The cycle begins again once the heated cooling water has flown back
to the heater.
Also: your engine runs for longer.
It is not only sportsmen who know how important it is to warm up well before a
start. Every cold start puts an extra strain on the engine. With a Webasto parking
