The Fashion Forward Project 2012 - Burlington Township

The Fashion Forward Project 2012 B. Bernice Young School of Burlington Township NJ, and The YMCA of Burlington and Camden Counties are in partnership to host The Fashion Forward Project. The Fashion Forward Project is an event and outreach that will highlight the mission statement of: paying it forward with fashion. The event will be held at B. Bernice Young School in the gym on May 11 th at 6:00PM. The Fashion Forward Project gives back to our community. Beginning April 30 th we are asking for gently used clean clothing donations. The focus is on spring and summer clothing (men’s, women’s, and children). Donation boxes will be located in the school. All donations will be given to The Beverly Kids Closet, and The Sisterhood Inc. of Burlington NJ. These organizations provide clothes to families in need and adults looking for employment opportunities. As our culminating activity on Friday May 11 th 2012, we will host a Fashion Forward Event at B. Bernice Young School. Students will be walking the catwalk in this fun runway fashion show. This Fashion Forward Show will consist of many themed, stylish, and fun looks the kids have chosen themselves to wear down the runway with clothes right from their closet (no need to purchase any new clothes). Parents, we need your help! We would love to have your child participate in this special event. Space is limited. If you would like your child to participate please return the attached form by Friday April 27 th . We encourage students to walk the runway with their friends and parents we encourage you to walk with your child during our special family theme: mother /daughter, father/son, mother/son, father/daughter or the entire family together. This is a special way to celebrate your family. We hope that you support our Fashion Forward Project as a way to build a bridge of partnership between all our families, businesses, and communities. If you would like to assist in this event, please contact our Fashion Forward representatives below. Thank You.
