With more than 50 swimmers, the French swim
by Laure Manaudou.
There will be a high level of racing in every
EDF : un acteur engagé
dans le développement
de la natation en France.
TITLE PARTNER
PARTENAIRE TITRE
Malia Metella, Hugues Duboscq, Solenne Figues).
EDF : a company committed in the development of swimming in France
Sports have always been at the heart of EDF’s communication strategy. Indeed, EDF supports values such as performance,
social equity, and environmental responsibility in France as well as in Europe. These values can indeed well be
recognized as sport values.
EDF has always supported sports federations such as the French Federation for the Disabled (Fédération Française Handisport)
and the French Federations of Rowing, Kayak Canoe and Swimming. Moreover, it is an official partner of the
French Olympic Committee and the International Paralympic Committee. More recently, EDF has also become a partner
of the National Rugby League, of the Rugby European Cup and of course of the Rugby World Cup that will take
place in France on September and October 2007.
Through all these partnerships, EDF contributes to the success of the French sport elites. Not only does it enable the
federations to organize big sport events at an international scale, it also makes the masses practice more sports and
it helps the elite athletes to enter the company.
Together with the French Swimming Federation, EDF develops actions and activities that highlight the problems linked
to the preservation of water on the Earth. The public and the local politicians are the ones targeted by these actions:
EDF considers it as a duty to support sustainable development.
Furthermore, EDF supports some swimmers individually: Laure Manaudou, Malia Metella, Hugues Dubosq, Solenne
Figuès.
By becoming the main partner at the Open EDF de Natation, the company wishes to get involved concretely into the
promotion of swimming and deepen its presence on the international sphere.
