<strong>GAS</strong> <strong>SAMPLING</strong> <strong>SYSTEM</strong><br />
FOR WET AND DRY SPACES<br />
The Gas Sampling System is intended for the<br />
detection of flammable and toxic gases in<br />
various zones of the vessel, including ballast<br />
tanks, void spaces, pump room, compressor<br />
rooms, motor rooms and forecastle. A<br />
diaphragm pumps is used to draw samples from<br />
the dangerous areas to the analyser.<br />
Samples are taken sequentially from the single<br />
measuring point and sent to a Dräger Polytron®<br />
catalytic sensor.<br />
The system can be optionally configured to<br />
detect up to 100% volume of hydrocarbons by<br />
means of an Infrared sensor, and for Hydrogen<br />
Sulphide and/or Oxygen detection by means of<br />
electrochemical sensors.<br />
The standard Control Un<strong>it</strong> is a<br />
HMI (Human-Machine Interface)<br />
device w<strong>it</strong>h graphic LCD display and touch screen function.<br />
The graphic display shows all the main operating information, such as channel number,<br />
channel defin<strong>it</strong>ion, system status and gas level reading in clear-text.<br />
It is possible to install an extended control un<strong>it</strong> featuring up to 15” LCD display.
