Description
Guide bar manufactured from high quality steel. Chain sprocket runs on roller bearings.
Different sizes available to fit standard harvesters. Plastic ramp to improve flow of oil onto drive
links and silicone adapters to seal the oil delivery hole.
Half chisel tooth chain to fit 2 mm groove, made of high quality steel. Also available as an
endless chain; high tensile strength, very durable.

Test
For the KWF-TEST the harvester cutter set was compared to two other combinations currently
available on the market. The selection of test criteria is based on the most important failures that
occur in practice.
The material and tensile strength tests were carried out at the Federal Material Test Facility in
Darmstadt (Staatliche Materialprüfanstalt Darmstadt). All wear measurements and steady load
tests were carried out on a specially designed test rig at the KWF in Gross-Umstadt. All
evaluations are based on these results.
In order to evaluate the practical suitability of the equipment, several cutter sets were tested
under working conditions. Over 800 m 3 of wood were processed during these tests.
