Chapter members participated in a parade in Gaithersburg,
MD. Several members also attended the Department of Veterans
Affairs 75th Anniversary ceremony on July 21, 2005 at DAR
Constitution Hall in Washington D.C. The program included
Adrian Cronauer of Good Morning Vietnam fame as the emcee.
Secretary of Veterans Affairs R. James Nicholson and Vice
President Richard B. Cheney were also in attendance.
Finally, a group of members and spouses attended the Korean
War Veterans Memorial Armistice Day Commemoration
142 group and “Minnie Bus,” their transportation to and from Washington
D.C for the July 27th ceremony
Ceremony in the Nation’s Capitol on July 27, 2005. The ceremony
commemorated the 55th anniversary of the signing of the
armistice and the 10th anniversary of the dedication of the
Korean War Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C.
