Minutes of the December 17, 2012 Council Meeting
That the Acting C.A.O. Janet Ferguson, Mayor Weber, Deputy
Mayor Davis-Dagg and Councillor Underwood be part of the hiring
process to fill the position of Interim C.A.O. from those requests for
proposals that will be sought.

13. COUNCILLOR REPORTS
Councillor Bonesteel reported that he had met with Thedford Bog farmers, had attended
a Lambton Shores Nature Trail Committee meeting and thanked committee volunteers
for their input and staff for their assistance in 2012 and wished everyone a Happy
Holiday season.
Councillors Underwood, Russell, Scott and Maguire offered up their appreciation of staff
for their assistance over the past year and also offered up seasonal greetings as well.
Deputy Mayor Davis-Dagg offered up Holiday Wishes and asked that a list of Council’s
achievements of the past year be put together.
Councillor McRae thanked Council for their support in choosing him as Council
representative for Ward 4.
Mayor Weber reported that in light of the rumours going around he would like the
residents of the Municipality to know that he had no intentions of resigning as Mayor of
the Municipality and further advised that he has received questions from the public as to
what Council’s new direction is. He further advised that 2012 had been a very busy year
for Council and wished everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
14. OPPORTUNITY FOR THE PUBLIC TO SEEK CLARIFICATION
Glen Baillie asked for clarification on the Deputy Mayor’s email address.
Wayne Edlington asked what was Council’s new direction, asked for further information
as to why John Byrne had been let go and what the legal costs associated with Mr.
Byrne’s termination totalled.
Bob Sharen asked when the official plan would be discussed by Council and why
Council was paying for a generator for the Grand Bend Legion. The Mayor noted that
the generator for the Grand Bend Legion was a Municipal expense as the Grand Bend
Legion is one the Municipal emergency centres.
Lew McGregor asked for information on the termination of John Byrne.
Andy Page asked if there were funds allocated in the budget for a sound system for the
Village Complex.
Cam Ivey asked who the member of Council was that had contacted Mr. Robinson for
an interview.
