<strong>Song</strong> Selection<br />
<strong>Forest</strong> <strong>Canada</strong> <strong>Day</strong> <strong>Idol</strong> <strong>Contest</strong> is family entertainment<br />
No lyrics that contain violent or sexually suggestive language<br />
No lyrics that contain coarse language, swearing or profanity.<br />
Disqualification is at the judges’ discretion if selection is deemed unsuitable.<br />
Please note: Accompaniment track may be stopped during per<strong>for</strong>mance if length exceeds number of<br />
minutes/seconds indicated on entry <strong>for</strong>m.<br />
Deportment/Appearance of <strong>Contest</strong>ants<br />
<strong>Contest</strong>ants and “cheering sections” are expected to conduct themselves professionally.<br />
<strong>Contest</strong>ants are expected to dress professionally.<br />
No clothing with suggestive or inappropriate writing.<br />
Disqualification is at the judges’ discretion if Deportment/Appearance is deemed unsuitable.<br />
Accompaniment/Technical resources<br />
Accompaniment—CD WITHOUT recorded singers (in some cases, CD’s have background singers . Please<br />
check with Catherine about suitability of track)<br />
Sound equipment available: two microphones, a CD player, and a monitor.<br />
Please note: There will not be a piano or keyboard available.<br />
Publicity<br />
Photos taken by the <strong>Forest</strong> <strong>Canada</strong> <strong>Day</strong> Committee during the first round of auditions may be used <strong>for</strong><br />
publicity <strong>for</strong> subsequent events.<br />
Judges’ Decisions<br />
Judge’s decisions are final and are not open to question or discussion by contestants or their families<br />
and friends.
