Symphonic Explorations<br />
For those interested in learning more about orchestral music and<br />
composers, <strong>Levine</strong> <strong>of</strong>fers pre-concert lectures to complement the<br />
Baltimore Symphony Orchestra’s Saturday A and B series concerts<br />
held at <strong>The</strong> <strong>Music</strong> Center at Strathmore.<br />
<strong>The</strong>se lectures, hosted by Melinda Baird, Chair <strong>of</strong> Piano, and Joel<br />
Friedman, faculty lecturer at <strong>Levine</strong>, are in-depth explorations <strong>of</strong> the<br />
music on the evening’s program with discussions that delve into the<br />
historical context <strong>of</strong> the repertoire and the composers.<br />
<strong>The</strong>se events are free to BSO ticket holders and take place at<br />
7:00 PM in Education Room 309 at Strathmore and are followed<br />
by a performance by the BSO at 8:00 PM.<br />
