• RATE OF INTERNAL PROMOTION:<br />

Fiscal <strong>2007</strong>: 20% of vacant site manager positions or equivalent were fi lled<br />

through employee promotions and 28% of vacant management positions<br />

by the promotion of site managers or equivalents.<br />

• EMPLOYEE DIVERSITY:<br />

Sodexo employs people of 132 different nationalities in 80 countries.<br />

• France<br />

Sodexo won the “Silver Award” at<br />

the fi rst “Individual Right to Training<br />

Awards” presented in <strong>2007</strong> by<br />

the Demos Group.<br />

The awards are given for the most<br />

successful integration of rights to<br />

individual training, widespread access<br />

to training and career development<br />

prospects. 2,000 Sodexo employees<br />

received training in <strong>2006</strong> and 4,000<br />

in <strong>2007</strong>.<br />

• Germany<br />

Sodexo was placed among the “Top 10”<br />

of “<strong>2007</strong> Employers” in a survey<br />

by the Institut Geva. The study<br />

• Belgium<br />

Sodexo received the “Equality Diversity”<br />

label from the Federal Ministries of<br />

Employment and Equal Opportunity.<br />

• Canada<br />

- Sodexo obtained Gold PAR (Progressive<br />

Aboriginal Relations program)<br />

accreditation for the third year from<br />

the Canadian Council of Aboriginal<br />

Businesses (CCAB) in recognition of<br />

the Group’s commitment to Aboriginal<br />

- The Women’s Affairs Network of Quebec<br />

presented Marie Line Beauchamp,<br />

the “<strong>2006</strong> Quebec Businesswomen”<br />

prize in the Private Company<br />

- The prize for “Best Business<br />

Management Concept” was given<br />

to Sodexo by Food Management<br />

Magazine for COCE (Circle of<br />

Customer Excellence), an employee<br />

training program to improve service<br />

quality, increase sales and ensure<br />

equal opportunity. The award was<br />

presented at the closing ceremony of<br />

the 18-city “Diversity Tour de France”<br />

launched in October <strong>2006</strong> to build<br />

corporate awareness and support for<br />

progressive approaches to diversity,<br />

highlighting positive examples and<br />
