WR Julio Jones caught 79 passes
for 1,198 yards and a team-high 10
touchdowns last season. He joined
WR Roddy White to make the Falcons
one of just four teams in the
NFL with two 1,000-yard receivers
in 2012.
Jones and White were the first Falcons teammates to
post 1,000 receiving yards in the same season since WR
Tony Martin (1,181) and Terance Mathis (1,136) each accomplished
that feat in 1998 when the Falcons were NFC
Champions and represented the conference in the Super
Bowl. It also marks the fourth time in team history two
players have eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark in the same
season.
