,,

Cleantech has always been close to

my heart. Scandinavian Biogas is

future oriented, research based and

built on Swedish technology. I am

extremely proud to be serving as its

Chairman

,,

We will engage in a dialogue with

decision makers in some of the world’s

largest cities and expand on the great

resources they have in organic waste

which today they regard as an

environmental problem

Scandinavian Biogas business idea is to

operate and optimize industrial scale biogas plants

to produce and sell biogas

Scandinavian Biogas in brief

5

● Consolidating Sweden’s expertise in the biogas sector

● The biogas production concept is verified in laboratory and pilot plants, and

proven in full scale

● Strong management and board of directors lead by former Swedish Prime

Minister Göran Persson as Chairman

● 45 employees

● Headquarter in Stockholm, Sweden

● Primary markets are Nordics, East Asia and

North America

● Primary assets:

● Fordonsgas Stockholm 9 Mm3 CBG, 1,7 LBG/a

● SBK Ulsan in Korea 9 Mm3 Methane/a

● Varberg 3,2 Mm3 LBG/a

● Projects:

● Enköping together with UL 10 Mm3 LBG/a

Biogas potential as vehicle fuel

8

Biogas potential of available substrates

(Percent of total vehicle fuel consumption)

Example Sweden

15-20 67-92

•As demand for biogas increases,

competition for “easy” substrates

will intensify.

Strategic R&D focus of Scandinavian Biogas

15-25

20-30

•Companies with technology

and methods to digest difficult

substrates and the ability to

optimize co-digestion of multiple

substrates will gain a competitive

advantage.

2 possible production lines

●Biologically based digesting process

●Less energy demands

●Give access to byproducts

●More complicated process

Pilot plant ~9-10 Mm3 LBG/a

●Thermal gasification

Full scale 45-50 Mm3 LBG/a

●More energy demanding

●No access to byproducts

●Production lines will be coordinated

Overview of leads

The potential of liquid biogas (LBG)

14

● Liquefied gas can be transported over long distances

● Dramatic cost reductions

● Up to 80% savings on distribution

● Up to 75% savings on refuelling

● 30% savings on compression

● ...+ savings at the gas treatment and the consumption levels

● Liquefaction opens the landfill market

● Liquid CO 2 is also produced as a valuable by-product
