6 Stronger than solid parquet HDF 1050 kg/m 3 A Par-ky floor is not only strong but also extremely impact-resistant. Every floorboard is very resistant, thanks to the ultrastrong HDF (High Density Fibreboard). The wood veneer is glued on this board and finished with no fewer than eight thick layers of lacquer. This makes our floors more resistant to impacts than solid or engineered parquet. A truly unique system This universal, patented system makes our floors as easy to install as laminate and guarantees a perfect connection between 2 floorboards. Solid sound The Sound and Deluxe collections have a 2 mm ( 5 /64 inch) cork layer that creates a solid step sound, comparable to a fully glued down wooden floor.
Benefits of a Par-ky floorboard 7 The top layer in real wood makes every Par-ky floorboard unique Choose between 2 finishes: // Brushed A floor with a brushed finish highlights the natural structure of the wood. You get the look and feel of solid parquet. This floor finish leaves the wood pores open so it's not recommended for kitchens. // Sealed We seal the wood pores with wax to obtain a smooth finish. This provides an exceptionally strong protective layer on top of the natural wood and makes your floor highly resistant to humidity and dirt. That is why we give a 12 years warranty on all floors with a brushed finish and even 15 years on our sealed collections! Perfectly straight floorboards The real wood backing provides stability and keeps the board straight. Twice as strong The secret of our strong floors lies in the DSI system. DSI stands for Double-Sided Impregnation. During the pressing process, the glue is pressed as deep as possible into the wood until the saturation level is achieved. The lacquers are then applied on top of the wood veneer. The wood absorbs the lacquer which, in turn, makes contact with the glue. The wood is completely saturated and becomes extra strong after hardening. So easy to maintain The Par-ky floor is finished with 8 layers of lacquer, which makes the floor very easy to maintain. The bevels are also stained and lacquered and protected from humidity thanks to the Aqua Sealing Complete system.
