<strong>Launch</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>EV</strong>-<strong>PP</strong> <strong>range</strong><br />
In line with the update <strong>of</strong> the product portfolio for<br />
loop and section units <strong>of</strong> <strong>Consilium</strong> Marine & Safety,<br />
we are now launching the new <strong>EV</strong>-<strong>PP</strong> dual smoke and<br />
heat detector series.<br />
The <strong>EV</strong>-<strong>PP</strong> is a new model <strong>range</strong> within the Evolution<br />
series <strong>of</strong>fering compatibility with below series <strong>of</strong> old<br />
detectors. The unit is fully backwards compatible<br />
and <strong>of</strong>fers a new optical sensor with improved<br />
performance.<br />
Please note that the smoke detectors <strong>of</strong> the <strong>EV</strong>-<br />
<strong>PP</strong> <strong>range</strong> are <strong>of</strong> optical type. This must be considered<br />
when replacing detectors <strong>of</strong> ionization type, as the<br />
surrounding environment (air flow, humidity etc.) may<br />

make it necessary to move or protect the location <strong>of</strong><br />
the new detector. Also the contamination time can be<br />
different compared to the old type <strong>of</strong> detector.<br />
The <strong>EV</strong>-<strong>PP</strong> can be easily re-configured from<br />
one model to another by a simple standard base, a<br />
standard test tool SE3000+ and a PC with special<br />
s<strong>of</strong>tware (provided by <strong>Consilium</strong> Marine & Safety).<br />
As the re-configuration is very simple, it is possible<br />
to do in the field.<br />
The <strong>EV</strong>-<strong>PP</strong> <strong>range</strong> can replace the following detectors<br />
(below). Consequently, the replaced detectors will go<br />
into a Last Time Buy process.<br />

A new <strong>range</strong> <strong>of</strong> conventional manual call point is<br />
now introduced to the market. The MCP-C <strong>range</strong><br />
is compatible with the systems CS4000, C300,<br />
C303,C308, C316 and Salwico Cargo, Salwico Cruise<br />

CONSILIUM MARINE AND SAFETY<br />
After Sales information regarding portable detectors from Draeger<br />
The last couple <strong>of</strong> years <strong>Consilium</strong> have sold portable<br />
detectors from Draeger to several new buildings in<br />
mainly China. The main reason for this is to meet the<br />
technical specification from customers. <strong>Consilium</strong><br />
is not marketing as a supplier <strong>of</strong> Draeger portable<br />
detectors.<br />
However, since we are the supplier <strong>of</strong> the equipment<br />
to the shipyard, our responsibility runs during the<br />
New S<strong>of</strong>tware releases:<br />
warranty time. Warranty only covers failure <strong>of</strong> the<br />
portable detector but not recalibration.<br />
When you receive warranty claims, replace the<br />
product with a new and make sure to return the faulty<br />
one to <strong>Consilium</strong> with a RMA number as soon as<br />
possible.<br />
When you receive inquiries for recalibration, refer<br />
directly to a Draeger’s branch <strong>of</strong>fice<br />
New Salwico CS3000 SPK S<strong>of</strong>tware version (SP3P_NFS v2.92)<br />
