Thouard in Paris. She holds a Master of Economy and Politics from Ruhr University, Bochum, Germany.

of €1.1bn, it focuses on high-yield investments. M. Chaussard is a graduate of the most prestigious engineering school École Centrale de

Paris, and Institut d’études politiques, among others. He holds a Masters in mathematics and a postgraduate degree in finance. After a

career in banking, he joined Affine as deputy CEO in 1998 and has been its vice-chairman since 2000.

With 31,000 employees in 438 offices, CBRE is the world’s leading full-service real estate service company. Mr. Hull is a managing director of

CBRE’s EMEA Capital Markets and a member of the global management team. He specialises in advising clients on cross-border transactions

and the disposal or acquisition of individual assets or portfolios within the region.


Managing Director, Cegereal, Paris

Majority owned by Germany’s Commerz Real, a unit of Commerzbank, Cegereal is a French core office REIT/SIIC listed on Euronext NYSE

with a portfolio worth some E861m and external leverage up to 50%. In charge of general management, M. Treguier’s main mission is to

develop and expand the portfolio. He has 12 years’ experience in real estate and corporate finance, previously working in the acquisition

team at GE Real Estate. He holds a master’s degree in management from the Paris Dauphine University.

France is one of the major continental European markets attracting now big-money players, not only downtown Paris office but also

large-sum investments in La Defense, as well as to Paris suburban retail and beyond in regional towns. The impact of the Presidentials is

key for institutional investors to understand; it impacts the longer term direction of legislation, at the very least for the next five years.

Given comparative stability of the French market, we will discuss the opportunities and the risks, also looking closely at the availability –

or absence – of bank credit finance now, and its impact, touching also on the complex Coeur Defense CMBS unwinding.
