Pacific Grove: During a traffic stop on Central Avenue, a 30-<br />

year-old suspect was found to be driving with a suspended<br />

license and to have outstanding FTA [failure to appear] warrants.<br />

Suspect arrested and booked.<br />

Pacific Grove: Conducted a check on an occupied vehicle<br />

and discovered the occupant had a warrant from another jurisdiction.<br />

He was arrested and could not make post bail, so he was<br />

transported to Monterey County Jail for extradition to Santa<br />

Clara County.<br />

Pebble Beach: Dispatched to a Pebble Beach residence<br />

regarding a sexual assault. Victim stated that an unknown<br />

Hispanic male broke into her residence and raped her. An extensive<br />

search was conducted of the surrounding neighborhood, but<br />

the suspect was not located. <strong>The</strong> victim was taken to CHOMP,<br />

and her injuries were evaluated. She reported bruising on her<br />

forehead. No weapons were used.<br />

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 13<br />

<strong>Carmel</strong>-by-the-Sea: A vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation.<br />

<strong>The</strong> driver, a <strong>26</strong>-year-old female, was found to have a suspended<br />

license for a prior DUI and was on DUI probation. She<br />

was also found to have alcohol in her system. She was cited and<br />

released, and the vehicle was towed.<br />

<strong>Carmel</strong>-by-the-Sea: Person on Junipero reported she<br />

received an e-mail from an ex-boyfriend telling her to leave him<br />

alone. She stated she has not contacted her ex-boyfriend and<br />

wants it documented that he keeps sending her e-mails. She<br />

requested no further action.<br />

<strong>Carmel</strong>-by-the-Sea: Found wallet in the business district<br />

<strong>Carmel</strong>-by-the-Sea: Sixth Avenue resident reported a verbal<br />

dispute with his neighbor. He stated he was washing his vehicle<br />

on his driveway, when his neighbor walked up to him, yelling<br />

profanities at him and telling him to stop throwing water on his<br />

vehicle. Resident stated he apologized to his neighbor and<br />

offered to wash it for him. He stated his neighbor kept yelling at<br />

him and calling him names. He stated he was afraid of his neighbor<br />

and wanted this situation documented.<br />

<strong>Carmel</strong>-by-the-Sea: A vehicle was observed driving<br />

through the center divider of a divided roadway on Junipero. <strong>The</strong><br />

driver was stopped and found to be unlicensed. <strong>The</strong> driver was<br />

cited, and the vehicle was towed.<br />

<strong>Carmel</strong>-by-the-Sea: Fire engine dispatched to Viscaino and<br />

Flanders, for a citizen who was cold, and her heater was not<br />

working. Arrived on scene at 0337 hours to find the furnace shut<br />

off. <strong>The</strong> resident has limited mobility, so firefighters turned on<br />

the heater for her. Firefighters removed obstructions from heater<br />

vents.<br />

<strong>Carmel</strong>-by-the-Sea: Ambulance dispatched to Eastfield<br />

Drive for a man who had fallen, with headache. Patient trans-<br />

Pacific Grove: A 20-year-old Seaside resident was arrested<br />

on Arkwright Court for possession less than 1 ounce of marijuana.<br />

Pacific Grove: Officer was dispatched to Congress Avenue<br />

and Country Club Gate for a coyote sighting in Rip Van Winkle<br />

park. Area checked, unable to locate the coyote.<br />

Pacific Grove: Citizen flagged down officers to report an<br />

elderly man lying on the sidewalk on David Avenue, possibly<br />

injured. Contacted the man, who said he was walking home<br />

when he fell. He was asked if he remembered how he fell, and<br />

he said, “no.” Officers requested fire and ambulance to respond<br />

for a medical evaluation. When asked if he had any alcohol, he<br />

said he had two shots of vodka. <strong>The</strong> patient was transferred to<br />

CHOMP by ambulance.<br />

Pacific Grove: A Ransford Avenue resident reported coming<br />

home to find her boyfriend intoxicated. <strong>The</strong>y got into an argument<br />

about the intoxication, and he left. <strong>The</strong> resident called<br />

police to report that he left the residence in his vehicle intoxicated.<br />

<strong>Carmel</strong> area: Deputy received a CPS referral with allegation<br />

of child abuse. After further investigation, the report was<br />

unfounded.<br />

<strong>Carmel</strong> area: A suspect was under the influence of a controlled<br />

substance. He kicked out two windows of a patrol car and<br />

failed to follow instructions. He was on probation.<br />

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 14<br />

<strong>Carmel</strong>-by-the-Sea: A citizen found a California drivers<br />

license in the business area and turned it over to the department.<br />

<strong>The</strong> license was mailed to the owner.<br />

<strong>Carmel</strong>-by-the-Sea: Concerned citizen reported a possible<br />

DUI driver near the public beach parking lot. Subsequently, the<br />

45-year-old male driver was arrested after a vehicle search<br />

revealed a loaded semi-auto handgun in the center console.<br />

<strong>Carmel</strong>-by-the-Sea: Person came to the station to turn over<br />

found property from the beach. Items were placed into evidence<br />

pending contact with an owner.<br />

<strong>Carmel</strong>-by-the-Sea: Lobos Street resident called in regards<br />

to a neighbor who allegedly was instigating a disturbance. This<br />

matter stems from previous incidents involving both parties. All<br />

parties were contacted and counseled.<br />

Pacific Grove: Window-smash of a locked vehicle on<br />

Crocker Avenue, with more than $3,000 in items taken.<br />

Pacific Grove: Person reported a past-tense theft from his<br />

vehicle on Walnut that was linked to a string of other thefts in his<br />

neighborhood at the time. PGPD had previously obtained property<br />

related to the cases that the victim was able identify as some<br />

of his property.<br />

<strong>Carmel</strong> Valley: Unknown suspect kicked open the front<br />

door to the victim’s under-construction residence.<br />

<strong>Carmel</strong> Valley: Woman reported her boyfriend bit her hand,<br />

causing visible injuries. Suspect is currently on probation.<br />

<strong>Carmel</strong> area: Deputies responded to a residence in <strong>Carmel</strong><br />

in regards to a physical altercation between a daughter and her<br />

parents.<br />

<strong>Carmel</strong> Valley: At <strong>Carmel</strong> Valley Road and Rio Vista Drive,<br />

conducted a vehicle stop for vehicle code violation. Suspects<br />

were found to be in possession of heroin, hypodermic syringes<br />

from being witnesses against him in a pending criminal case. He<br />

was arrested and taken to the Monterey County Jail.<br />
