Geology of the Northern Gawler Craton Metasediments OBD 6 OBD 12 Manya 4 Mt Furner 1 AM/PB 2 AM/PB 3 Lithologies Include • Magnetite-rich pelites • Quartzites • Banded Iron formation • Pyritic cherts • Carbonates and calc-silicates Ooldea 2 • depositional ages from detrital zircon suggest they were deposited between ~1790 Ma and 1720 Ma • Tentative provenance work suggests the sediments are not derived from the Gawler and may have been sourced from the Arunta region and share a similar source region with the Lower Willyama Supergroup
