the Republic of South africa, at the
southern tip of the continent of africa,

africa (t&C Sa) hunt in various
concessions to satisfy the variety of trophy
needs of our clients. t & C Sa mostly hunt
on Government Provincial Reserves, but also
on privately owned land. the big 5, crocodile
and hippo, roan, sable as well as all other
South african plains game are available.
the international airport is oR tambo
international airport (formerly called
Johannesburg international airport).
Several daily flights are available from OR
tambo international airport to nelspruit,
Kimberley and Bloemfontein – the final
pick-up airport will be determined by the
concession where the hunt is conducted.
t & C Sa is based in the capital of the
mpumalanga province, nelspruit, close to
the south border of the Kruger national
Park. the international airport there is
Kruger mpumalanga airport int. (Kmia).
CLimatE:
South africa has a generally temperate
climate with a great variety of climatic
zones due to its varied topography and
oceanic influence. March and April are mild
to warm. may, June and July are usually
cold at night and cold to mild during the
day. august and September are warmer but
windy. the climate of the nelspruit area
(Lowveld) is subtropical with temperatures
averaging: January maximum: 29°C (min:
19°C), July maximum: 23°C (min: 6°C).

ViSa REQuiREmEntS:
a valid passport, with more than six months
left before expiry, and 2-4 blank pages, is
required for entry. Citizens of the following
countries Do not need an entry visa
for South africa: uSa, Spain, argentina,
norway, Germany, austria, Switzerland,
united Kingdom and France.
aRmS, ammunition:
• most shots are taken at medium range.
• Each hunter is allowed three fire arms:
one heavy, one medium caliber and one
shotgun.
• a maximum of 100 rounds per gun is
allowed.
• all ammunition must be transported in a
lockable ammo box and checked with the
luggage. A limit of five kilograms of ammo
is allowed.
• A temporary import/export rifle permit
for persons over 21 years is issued
by custom officials at port of entry.
Documents such as an invitation letter
from us, permit application form - SaP
502, and a notarized uS Custom 4457
form, are required. all the information,
including “meet and assist” services,
can be obtained from our website: www.
africatrophyhunting.com. Rifles can also
be rented.
• Plains game: shooting distances vary
between 100 and 250 yards, a rifle in .270
Winchester to a .375 H & H magnum is
recommended.
• Dangerous game: a minimum calibre
of .375 H & H magnum is required by
law for buffalo, Hippopotamus, Lion,
Elephant and White & black Rhino.
• Semi-automatic rifles, pump-action or
semi-automatic shotguns are not allowed.

however it is a business on its own and
