<strong>Student</strong> <strong>Affairs</strong> <strong>Office</strong><br />
a. Mission<br />
<strong>The</strong> <strong>Student</strong> <strong>Affairs</strong> <strong>Office</strong>’s (SAO) primary function is in line with the <strong>University</strong>’s<br />
mission of enhancing students’ all-round development. Through the provision of<br />
our comprehensive range of co-curricular programmes and activities, we strive<br />
to contribute significantly to groom “preferred graduates”, particularly in the<br />
areas of global outlook, critical and creative thinking, life-long learning, ethical<br />
consideration, communication skills, EQ, workplace competencies, sportsmanship<br />
and leadership.<br />
SAO provides assistance to all students including non-local students in nonacademic<br />

b. Orientation Programme for Non-local <strong>Student</strong>s<br />
All new non-local students are expected to attend the Orientation Programme<br />
organized by the <strong>Student</strong> <strong>Affairs</strong> <strong>Office</strong> starting on 23 August 2008. <strong>The</strong> detailed<br />
schedule will be provided when you check in at the <strong>Student</strong> Halls of Residence on<br />
22 August 2008.
