our star is Rising
The City of Roanoke has demonstrated a strong
commitment to making our city more livable,
providing quality services, and creating an awareness
of Roanoke both regionally and nationally. And it’s
paying off.
In this issue of Roanoke Citizen we will look at the
top 10 reasons for the city’s progress. Things like the
rejuvenation of downtown, the reuse of contaminated
land for productive economic development, and the
revitalization of the Hurt Park area.
While there is not room in this magazine to recite all
the great things happening in our city, we’ve tried
to list some that best represent our success as a
progressive city. Of course, the number one reason for our success is you, the citizens.
Without your support and involvement, we could not fulfill the goals and vision of the
city’s leaders.
Our star is rising, and it’s wonderful to see it happen. I hope you will take time to read
